Thats is right What do you think is going on here anyway. This whole ned rig thing looks like a marketing adventure to me and I will not believe otherwise.I will just wait and see. And what Inexpert to see is them hanging on the racks in places like PBS in a year or so.

I heard there were some up the Lake but here on the Gravois we really lucked out. I have not seen one torn up. Wrench what time dod you go out yesterday. What was the wind like over that area. It looked like from my house it might have been coming right down that bank. I am done till it get warmer. But It looks like it is going to be a good crappie year. Maybe next week I will walk across. the road to the other side of the point. I got several good crappie docks within 1/4 mile and do not need to freeze my bitt to fish them.

who knows Hog Wally or you using WIFI. It is a nightmare around here. i and a few neighbors are having a awful time with it Nobody has been able to explain it to us other than saying it is something out in the area.

yeah I know it is cold. I think this might be my last year fighting the cold weather. I know I can get all the crappie I want just on the docks around the house when it gets warmer. Everything else I like to fish for comes later when things the lake hits 50 degrees. All my friends my age group are either dead are have about stopped fishing all together. I am just going to slow down some. Tomorrow is suppose to be worse. Outlook was not good when I checked last thru most of the week.

what is the temperature up there. still 43 down here. If you find a warm spot you can catch real nice crappie. In found a spot in a very small narroe cove that was completely sheltered from the wind. it was 46 degrees when I pulled in there and there were a lot of dish suspended right in the middle of the cove. I was there a short while and the wind switched a bit and a ripple blowing up in the cove. The water temperature was back to 44 or 43 in minutes. I am going to stop for awhile till it warms up. Just do not have the drive anymore to freeze my butt to fish.

I do not know but I knew a guy down at Clearwater always said the lord provides and he broke game and fish laws left and right. he used to figure the lord provided it so he could catch or shoot it and then sell it as well.

I have nothing against a center console. If I ever do buy another boat it will be a 14 or 16 ft Boston Whaler. But I would not be running it standing up in the river. I wonder about what happens if you do hit a shoal.

J-Doc You can be assured they are going to have all sorts of special things just for the ned rig. Then in a year or so they will start making magnum sizes so on and so on. I still think this is all about marketing these things.

Ham I am sure they are working towards something like that. It would not surprise mr if the name Net Rig has been patented and covered by copy write laws. That is what a lot of the pro anglers do. Then anyone is going to be paying them to use that name in any way. I really think all this is building up a business venture. Fisherman are a lot like white bass. When they are feeding you can make them bite on anything.

The spro I bought preforms better than expected. You can do more with it than just retrieve. I can make it work like a fluke. I look forward to using it on those rising deep bass this summer after the spawn.

i agree with Merc primarily because i about bet within a year somebody on here will be selling all sorts of stuff made for use on the Ned rig plus bodies for it. I just rigged one and played with it a litle around the dock. As I watched the sinking action and so forth it brought to mind something I seen many years ago maybe before some of you were even born. It was Virgil Ward's Bass Buster Beetle. At one time it came in different sizes and colors. That was close to 50 yrs ago. No miracle here that I can see.

Warfrat------- your way up bthe niagua river. That means a lot in the spring. You should be catching Walleye and White bass up there in numbers soon.

I started out tooooo late. That wind was kind of brutal on my ride up into Indian and back.

Not sure if its the same one. My sister in law lives there and its in back of her condo. thats the only one I know about. There might be more. Its a big square lake

Thank everyone I am on the New Apple now. I will just read off the IPad from now on. My neighbor thinks the problem comes from something at Whiteman AFB. Although the wart hogs play around here all the time. I do not think it is that. Its to far.

I know of at least one duplex development in St Charles near hwy K that has a bice lake that is rarely fished but they will allow it. some of the sloughs above St Louis are Ok as well. Them there are golf course lakes. rarely muddy.

Al It could very well be a signal problem with my WIFI. I learned very recently something going on that causes problems locally. Nobody seem to know what it is. It seems to be worse on The IPad systems. It has fouled a IPad download a couple of times of my neighbors. Do not care anymore. We got a new Apple. I am going to start using that. My typing don't help either and The IPad makes it worse.

yeah I know the crappie got on a tear this afternoon in the gravois. I did not find out till after 4 pm and did not get on the water till after 5 and all I caught was one drum. I was to late I Think. I am not going to be doing much of this dishing when its below 45 and windy. It took about 1/2 hour to turn my hands to lumps.

The air temperate has only gotten up to 39 today and water temperature has gotten down to 39 also. We need warm sunny days where the temperature the sun is out and the high temperature do not fall fast towards nighfall and rise fast in the morning. Were going to need more than just sun. The water is not that clear and the sun does not penetrarte all that far.

Abkeenan----- Yes I know they do but the wAy they come put of the pack I still soften them. I bend my fiber jog. I work over a fiber guard pretty good before I tie it on if i am using one. I trim some of the fibers off then nip the end of the guard to shorten it and spread it wide It makes a jig head that is soft and sinks slowly. Anything though that is pure finesse I do not use a weed guard. I can feel the line crossing a tree branch or something most of the time before the jig gets there. So when it does git against the limb I can often hop it over. My sense of touch though is getting worse every year as I git older.

Idid that and it still corrects. or just randomly types things.
