Report: we didn’t have any luck for Crappie in the lake so we motored to orleans bridge to fish for whites. I landed 4 huge males (largest I’ve ever caught) with a blue and silver rebel minnow. Several boats had limited on males earlier in the day.

Are you able to surf with a 20k release?

I know it's an old thread but I just picked up the Pflueger president. Spooled it with 4lb nanofil (thought I''ll post my review after a few trips). My initial review is that on my first cast I accidently cast it into the middle of my neighbors yard with only a flick of the wrist. Hopefully the knot won't snap, I read a ton about tying a good knot and I think it was correctly tied, we'll see. Thanks everyone for the help.
