Your so short your dog thought you were a snack. Thank God for our military men and women!

I will call them tomorrow. I have the screen for temp and speed and have seen some things online that indicate it. That has basically been all the confusion for me thus far ha! Thanks for the advice!

I need a tranducer for my Lowrance x-48, mine is shot. My Triton FS-19 came with two of these units. I need to mount it on my trolling motor. My current transducer does not have the speed and temp sensor and I need that with it. I have read all sort of info on the internet and cannot figure out what I need. Never had this much trouble feel like an idiot. Any help would be great! Also not wanting to spend too much as the unit is from 1999 came with boat new I assume. Plan on upgrading to a nice unit with GPS but at least 1 year away from having that kind of money.

Tr Next July--What Do I Need To Know For Fishing And Camping?
capndan replied to Flyfisher for men's topic in Table Rock Lake
Man all that great advice and change lakes? Even if you don't adjust the schedule dont let that July stuff scare you. Those guys can tell you what to do in July and get your line stretched. I fish mostly rivers and creeks in July but the rock is good earl and late without too much boat traffic and night fishing can simply be unreal. I live Kimberling City and can tell you even when hot this forum can give you great advice how to leave satisfied. Bring your pops and ask again just before you get here and a ton of guys will give you solid advice. Take care my friend! -
Todays Crappie Report With A Side Of Shrooms!
capndan replied to duckydoty's topic in Table Rock Lake
Awesome!!!! -
Wow I live right up from the ramp and use it all the time I am going to start writing letters and making phone calls. What an absolute crock. I have never liked the corp. My dad God rest his soul was the District Head of Right of Way for Southwest Missouri and he used to tell me all the crap the Corp pulled and my dad was one stand up kind of guy. He would be rolling over in his Grave if the Lord would let him hear this. I'm in it for the long haul anyone want to join me in making them sick of Phone calls?

Great meeting you! Crappie better to eat but man the whiteys fun to catch! Order the Perch form Cabelas unless Phil can get it HA! That perch always seems to out catch anything else I troll for crappie and have a friend who I turned onto it that will testify the same. Hope to see you soon!

Nice report! Glad to see you working the next generation of fisherman and spending time with family on the water that is the best. No offense to my fishing buddies!

Thats good stuff! Makes me want to start chasing bucketmouths. Did you catch most of your blackies on the rig?
-
I hate to be mean but I must admit that thought crossed my mind and it would teach him a lesson. Lets just hope he reads the site and checks his prop and goes wow I was a jerk wasn't I ha! My partner went without me this morning and said he caught several keeper crappie early before boats got going and limited on whites by 9:30. Said he continued toward Flat creek Bridge and caught a nice 16 in largemouth and more crappie but then headed in to make the wife happy so kudos to Coach Kohl! Wish I was there but too much to do here at the house and March madness to! Hope to get out next week. Love reading all your posts and learning from all of you. Thanks Phil for a place to learn new things ! If your reading this My buddy and I took your advice and killed the trout this winter in Taneycomo. I became a better jig fisherman studying your info films and it really paid off. Looking forward to teaching my uncle who just moved to Branson and loves to fish.

Ducky, It was a pleasure meeting you and passing you repeatedly! Lots of traffic for a while huh? I do have to say very upset at some guy in a Procraft who ran over our lines as we were trolling and cut off to of our favorite FlickerShads. We hollered at him as his prop was winding our lines up. He stopped looked at us like we were crazy saw we were furiously trying to keep our rods from being yanked out by his boat, knew he just ran over us. Then with no reply or stopping his engine which would have had our lures hanging on them he roared off. Felt totally violated because I love fishing and getting to know others on the water and we are all on this planet together to make it a better place. Anyway enough of my sermon but shame on him. Now to the fishing, this was my third day in a row strolling and despite the cool off our luck held out we boated 50 whites and kept 2 limits for some of my buddies cooks in the Springfield School District. He says they are great ladies and do a great job of serving our kids and always have a smile and an encouraging word. All fish were monsters, 2~3 lbs. Only managed about a dozen crappie, 4 nice keeps but when you saw us leave for a bit we ran to Peach Orchard looking for Crappie no luck, then ran back across from Bridgeport flat just north of the bridge and fished the gut and caught 3 keepers in about 10 minutes but we both have enough crappie in our freezers to hold us for awhile and we wanted to get back to catching those big whiteys. We also had a lot of success dragging our A~rig and when it got really windy that was all we did at the end. Even able to stop and cast when we would locate a decent sized pod and pull out a few before we would lose them. Meant to stroll over and meet Phil but you guys took off. Sorry I didn't put the rod down and do that when you picked him up. Last thing I have a reward for anyone finding my Perch Flicker shad It should be washed up on that shoreline. Lot of paint coming off and that lure has literally caught me hundreds of fish strolling and casting. Big bass love that color but Berkley stopped making it closest thing to it is the pro flickershad firetiger not the regular flickershad firetiger. I also snagged a 47lb Grass carp 2 years ago in Aunts Creek on 6 lb test and fought it for right at 2 hours before having someone watching me in another boat use my gaff to help me get it in. I had to have it back and now because I reeled my swivel for my leader in to far and cut it off when I cast it out I am lamenting all morning, ha! For those of you that want to try your hand at it the #5 slick purple candy, and the pro firetiger throw it out behind your boat from 60 ~100 feet troll about 1 mph most people I thought were moving to fast. Also try dragging a big a~rig with jr flukes in shad colors, that really catches the giants sometime 2 at once> Good luck to all and sorry for the novel!

Got on the water again after practice at 10:45 Decided to do something different fished a couple of docks in Bear Den and caught 40 crappie suspended only 6 feet deep. started fishing then to deep but after a couple of fish told me they were shallow it was pretty fast. Caught about half on White Shiney Hineys and the other hale on Minnows. Problem was only 7 keepers. Lots of 7 and 8 inch fish at first then mostly 9 and 3/4, 9~7/8. Strolled my Flickershad pattern in Bear den caught one nice keeper close to shore in 10 feet. hit some brush with wobble bobber and didn't fair to well. Had some bbcue ribs took a quick nap on my back couch seat(why I love this fish and ski. I have it rigged more for fishing but man is it comfortable. My friends call it Cadillac fishing Ha. Stayed way too long trying different things and then decided to go back to mouth of flat before the whiteys got going and see if I could fill my limit of Crappie. hit my regular strolling patter and caught 3 crappie on first pass one was just under 2 lbs and 14.5 inches. second pass caught a 13.5 finally caught several blacks that were 12 inches but they were twice as thick as the white crappie. Then next pass all three rods went down right after I saw a massive school of whiteys on the chart. My brother drove down from Springfield after work and called me to pick him up at Bridgeport so I roared out of their picked him up and shot back . Picked up where I Ieft off Whiteys all over the place at one time all 4 poles we had out went down at the same time right on cue. I told my brother who is a hunter more than fisher get ready we just passed them should be about 20 seconds and wham. it was really cool. Bad thing was I was hoping to fill his limit of crappie but the whiteys would not let a crappie even grab a snack! Couple of guys pulled up said they read my post and that was why they came said they did really well to on the other side of point 15. Chatted a bit with them . Then hit it until dark still biting. They moved out to the drop about 30 minutes before dark. Also had a couple of young guys come over to see what we were doing and They started hooking up right away. I am 49, and the young guy said he was too young to be trolling. I said it was strolling and have been doing it for years even when I was young(is 49 old, I guess so) Don't feel old except for when I get off the water ha! Told him I do way more casting but when everyone is flogging the bank catching males I am hauling in whiteys and crappie hogs and have been doing so for years. Learned it in Arkansas trolling 1/4 ounce road runners tipped with minnows. go about the pace of a fast walk or brisk stroll(strolling) for those of you without speed on your graph, throw them out about 60 feet trolling usually in 12 ~17 feet of water. Since the flicker shad came aboard Road runners and minnows still have their day but the flicker is deadly. Especially the number 5. If anyone has any of the original perch they quit making I will give you $20 dollars for it. Truth be told the Slick Purple Candy is doing the same and I find those 2 are my go to colors. Putting in at Cape Fair tomorrow with my Alma Mater Kickapoo tennis coach and he is going to show me some new hidden brush piles (sorry sworn to secrecy on those) but I will let you know how we do. Will also probably hit Piney and Buzzard. If all else fails probably find me in my Triton with four rod holders strolling around the mouth of flat while it is hot. If you see me holler at me and we'll trade info. Good luck and it has been fun meeting some new fisherman! God Bless!

After a great day last Saturday could not wait to get on the water today. Made it on the water by 10:45 Started on flat upstream of Bridge at Bridgeport nothing, 30 minutes of that and moved to flat in the mouth of Flat Creek Past pt 15, past both docks on the right fished flat on left. Caught 7 keeper crappie and 4 or 5 throw backs in 4 hours and 2 big Whiteys. Met a nice couple just moved here from Colorado who read Ducks post I added to, and they thought they would give it a try. They were fishing differently but having about the same success slow but some fish around. Left that went up Flat caught a 13 inch first stroll just before the Flat creek bridge 15 FOW then nothing for 30 minutes. Threw the rig for 15 minutes nothing didn't like the look so headed up the creek caught 1 small whitey in 30 minutes got out of there. Headed back to The flat in the mouth and it was on immediately. My new friends slid up to see how I did upstream and I told them no go for me but by the time they were beside me I had caught 5 fish in 10 minutes.3 keeper crappie all 12 inches, 1 throwback and a 3 lb 1 oz whitey. Chatted with them and told them what my technique was and got to know each other hope to see them again. They took off and I wished they hadn't because til dark I filled out my crappie limit and threw back about another 7 or 8.. Caught 5 giant whiteys all pushing 3 lbs and biggest weighed 3~1 on my digital scale. only caught 1 on the A`rig but honestly didn't give it the try I would have liked but strolling for Crappie stayed red hot. Fish were in the gut from the little indention and strolling perpendicular to the shore in 12 FOW only would stroll out to 20 FOW and turn around. Stay in gut fish on the whole time get blown out of gut and nothing. Strolling #5 Flickershads Slick Purple Candy was the color, with Perch (that they do not make anymore) coming in a close second trolling with trolling motor about 1 mph running offerings back about 60 ft tipped road runners spotty so far both trips. Hitting it again tomorrow. Decided I should post good info since I have benefitted from so many of the posts on here. Good luck to all hope to see you on the water! Sorry for typos just cleaned Crappie fried a few up and sat down exhausted but wanted to get this out there .

Yes on the flats in the mouth caught them strolling through the day and then zeroed over a school and threw the arig and it was crazy good caught several double 3 lbers. I will be out there again tomorrow and friday afternoon will also be keying on the flat right across from the neighborhood ramp by the Bridgeport bridge and the bank up form walnut bend is always good a-rig spot for whiteys. Good Luck!
