  1. I got out yesterday morning. Only managed a little walleye. There were quite a few boats out but everyone there seemed respectful to all the kayaks that were around.
  2. NWA Striper club took our Lincoln Junior High HOFNOD kids out Friday and I picked up a couple pointers. I decided to try my luck again in the yak. I said a Sleigh Ride ,but it was more like getting spun like a Top! I pulled my rudder up and this guy spun me around about 5 times wrapping me up and making a huge mess, But maaaaan was it worth it!

    Did anyone fish today?
  5. Nice fish and i love the excitement.
  6. My PB on beaver was and 18 inch Smallie. Not a monster by any means but she sure did RIP some drag! pics on another thread
  7. Lol. I can't give up my first born. He will be my fishing partner one day and they couldn't handle him for a day. That makes me feel better that we were around them. After reading and re reading the articles and looking through the forums I thought we found the spots within the spots and got a little discouraged when we didn't get any action, but that's how it goes sometimes. I'll try to sneak out some more before winter break is up and I've got to work.
  8. Went out to MN and HSB. Marked bait and what we thought were striper but we couldn't get them to bite. Rained and hailed on us. Drifted live bait, but not luck. Starting to realize what a challenge this is going to be chasing striper in a kayak. challenge accepted.
  9. Thats a good idea. We had a kayak tournament there for the NWA children center a couple of weeks ago. We had 50+ kayaks sign up. It's a fun little lake but it does get HAMMERED this time of year, like you said with most of the tourney guys going to beaver it might be the ticket.
  10. YIKES. . Thanks J-Doc. . We might need to re think our plans. . That does not sound fun
  11. Jeff there is going to be a group of us heading on new years day. The Okies are coming over.
