  1. Went up Saturday got on water about 7:30. Fish north of Mutton bridge. Had a great time caught several fish on Jerk bait 10 to 15 few had one that go about 4 lbs and lost at boat, fish didn't really fight any until I got it to surface and right at boat and I guess he wasn't going to let me touch it cause that fish came alive and went down and then up out of the water and said nope don't like your bait anymore. Caught several 16 and under and water temps 40 to 42 main lake got into some water 44 and 45 in creeks.

  7. Fished hard last weekend around Ruark and Muttton did not get a bite on top water, I have a couple of those WP and I have not had much luck with them. For some reason all 4 of the ones I have none of them run or sound the same. Fished on 8 lb line to 12 lb line they just don't seem to make as much noise as I thought there would.

    Form

Sitting here looking and read the form this morning, I have to say I really like what I am seeing, all of the post with the kido's out fishing and having a great time and the fishing reports of bigger fish being caught. This is what being parents and dads and mom's are about. Passing the things that we love to do down to are kids and wives and daughters and also our kids friends. Remember take a kid or someone that hasn't enjoyed what we enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It always brings back memories when my dad and mom took me fishing!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Got on water about 1 pm on Friday Put in at State Park fished Maze Creek, First stop 3 rd cast wife caught a keeper bass, we caught lots of 14 to 14 and 7/8 fish. Saturday same area daughters boyfriend and daughter and wife and I fished from about 10 to 5 and again caught fish all day not really any size at all. The boyfriend did have one on that my guess would be a 5 lber that hung him up on stump and broke him off, I did have a 18 inch walleye on a crank bait at which was fun waiting on wife and daughter get dip net out of rod box and watch daughter try to get net together . Looking at that side of lake, hadn't really fish that side at all. Do like several of the areas that we were in.
  14. Nice pig right there Congrats. I agree with HAMMERTIME I also have read a lot about night fishing and their feeding at night. My biggest bass came at night on salt crawl on Table Rock. Again Congrats waterdogMP !!!!!!!
  15. We were up last Saturday, Mainly bass fishing until about 4 pm and started crappie fishing we ended up with 12 crappie by 7 pm, We found that they were in 6 to 12 ftw water temp 63 to 67 degress Chicken rock area. But the thing I saw was I would pull up in my normal spots and catch 3 to 4 right of the bat and then wouldn't get a bite go to next spot and same thing happened. Did lose about 7 right at the boat and they were the bigger fish. Should have got the net out after the first one!!!!!
  16. I forgot out of the 15 that I cleaned only 2 of them were females and there eggs were just mush.
  17. We went up Saturday afternoon, fished in Birch Branch. We ended up with 12 ourselves and a buddy had 3 in 5 hours . I pulled into a pocket and first cast caught one about 13 inches long and when putting her into the live well she was spraying eggs all over the boat. Ended up catching 5 out of that pocket fished it about a hour, left that place and went all the way back in birch and could not catch any keepers in the back several boats back there, came back out in the main part of birch and started catching fish again and ended up with what we had. Think we only had 2 fish that wouldn't measure. But I also lost several at the boat. Baits that we were using was all jigs ( I don't fish much rubber jigs ) red black yellow and red blue white did catch a few on all grey jigs. It seemed to me that the fish were more out in 8 to 10 foot of water. Some would rip rod out of your hand and the others was just like extra weight. All in all it was a great day. Wife slept about 4 hours on the boat and boy read a book.
  18. I am running troque mater lower unit and have plugged top 4 holes on each side so I can motor way up there. Nose cone of lower unit has water inlet so I shouldn't lose any water pressure.
