  1. weight is an issue for me in my boat. I run my 2 graphs off of rechargeable AA batteries can get 3-4 days use before recharging just depends on how much power you need these units I have are small, they require very little power to operate
  2. last rumor I heard was Bull is eventually getting 5 more feet, or even more on top of that if it rains this weekend. then we will be 20+ high . The charts and graphs I look at go by the 654 level.
  3. Revo S 20 spinning reel $99 ebay Okuma Trio 20 $57 ebay I sold a lot of Okuma Trios on ebay a couple years ago. People really liked them.
  4. i know right now there's about 3' left of the new ramp at theodosia, the old corps park ramp has been totally under for weeks, spring creek had just a few feet of ramp left a few days ago all the courtesy docks at these ramps are usually accessible watch out for floating logs and debris now again
  5. anybody else hear we are getting 5 more feet? that's going to put a lot of launch ramps completely underwater
  6. very nice rig, had one like it for 23 years, no complaints
  7. has anyone here traveled outside the US besides canada,or mexico to fish for black bass? if so I'd like to hear about it, thanks
  8. http://www.worldfishingnetwork.com/stories/post/a-world-of-bass pretty good article, enjoy
  9. cool, big bite makes some good stuff
  10. that's warmer than any water I've seen, but it's around 69-70 still in some areas thx for the report
  11. some nice walleye were caught yesterday trolling in the 25+ range so a dd22 might be a good choice. I do pretty good with them in August every year when the thermocline is in the 30' range
  12. thanks Mike, always good to hear from you
  13. just got word the crappie are starting to show themselves a little. Saw someone cleaning a few yesterday, and they still had eggs
  14. we got over an inch of rain just north of theodosia in less than fifteen minutes yesterday
  15. I see 669 in the near future
  16. red you say, makes sense, I noticed that on the pics Ham posted on his last report, those fish were just starting to "see red" the spots I have been catching the past few weeks have "fire" in their eyes too, good time to throw something with red in it thx for the tip
  17. not the dd22, not yet, more flicker shads and hot n tots and the like , baits that run 11-13' on fluorocarbon
  18. thanks for the report Brinson,,,nice to have you aboard
  19. post spawn walleye bite is good , saw several 24"+ fish caught trolling in the last 5 days. trolling for walleye can be as "simple" as long lining crankbaits http://www.in-fisherman.com/walleye/longline-trolling-crankbaits/ that dive the appropriate depths/speed based on the conditions. I like to drive around looking for fish/bait with my Lowrance first, then I'll put a couple lines in the water and drag. I use a shakespeare line counter that clilps on the rod blank so i know how much line is out. Rapala has a great precision trolling app. Have caught many 25"+ walters on Bull ,lots of whites ,and black bass too while trolling. good luck
  20. Ich danke Ihnen
  21. it works, I've done well with the junebug trd and bama,or green pumpkin orange zinker up until july or august. Seems less effective for me when the majority go 30'+ deep closer to the thermocline.
  22. sorry, didn't see your question soon enough. i make them
  23. click the links? saw some neat pics https://www.facebook.com/pages/Show-Me-Kayak-Fishing-Association/744798118944545?fref=nf
  24. WT 70 666.2 clear 5-8pm Not much to say except I caught 2 largemouth keepers, a keeper spot, 4 white bass, a gar, a short crappie, and a short walleye. Threw a strike king 5 crankbait the whole time, Bass and the whites were caught throwing the crank into surfacing fish. The gar, crappie, and walleye were shallow by the shoreline. Was marking fish in 8-15' over deeper water. Saw several schools on the graph on channel swings where I found the whites and bass. spoke with some walleye anglers today who have been catching some nice one's trolling cranks in the depths I mentioned above.
  25. i've been in their cross hairs before while running wot in a bass boat on Bull! i let off the gas and yanked the kill switch thinking my motor was about to blow, but it was just the sound of those jet engines approaching from behind me A pair of them did what I'd describe as a "swoop and dive" from behind. Scared the crap out of me, blew the hat right off my head, He got so close I could see the "thumb's up" the pilot was giving me as he buzzed by! . A few seconds later his buddy came out of nowhere ,flying sideways, and buzzed by me too Felt like i was their target practice
