  5. I think if we get a bit of rain it will hang on for a few weeks. Nice find!
  6. Fished from railroad trestle down about a mile or so and caught a lot of fish. Most on mohair leech in olive color. Had one that would've went 16 inches that came unbuttoned about three feet from my boots. There was a group of kids planting trees and collecting things down there. Had an older lady with then probably school related.beautiful day on the creek!
  7. Lots of snakes today but no cottonmouths. Just brown water snakes. All went away from me.
  8. I have found that ash trees are a decent indicator. I found twenty large ones yesterday under an ash that was rooting down a creek bed. I have also found them near big dead sycamore trees along the river while fishing. Mostly ash trees though. Cedars every once in a while. The soil I think is big factor.
  9. Taken my father in law Thursday are the white still up?
  10. We are hoping to get a day off to go this next week. Been way to busy and our spot is an hour away

  12. They have added fishing programs to several high schools in the area. They have competitions and everything. Hopefully it takes off.
  13. Early spring we always find them more on north side slopes in tree line!, in May we find in south slopes and creek beds where hot sun doesn't get to. Bigger ones usually where it's the most moist soil.
  14. The first time I went was in April of 2011 higher water. People were catching good numbers. Then in 2012 I caught over a hundred in April's second week. Higher water. Thirteen was lower and only caught a few. Same last year. I think it's just better in April with higher water.
  15. I used road runner with chartreuse grub mostly. Tried rooster tail but nothing hit it but large mouth
  16. You guys are making me hungry and eager listen to led zeplin
  17. Well didn't see any morel this last week but dandelions are popping and we got more rain so maybe next week! If temps don't drop again!

  20. You can wade but real muddy and swift . I think after the rain and warm up next week they will be on. I keep wanting them to be early but not enough rain yet.
  21. Hit the river Monday hoping to track down a white bass or two. Well I got three all males full of milt. No females yet and males were in eddies feeding on the bottom. Saw a fella with a stringer full of males and a walleye. He had been up above 215. Looked like down the path where that bike trail goes. Also caught ten largies and a smallie . All in all an enjoyable day just had a few hours so couldn't move around A lot. Spent most time under 215 bridge and below Taylor. Good luck out there guys
