Ive been trying to upload some pics I took down there over weekend. and after initialization it just pops up zero where it says manage attachments. I tryed to upload some older pics from another file and it works fine. I have a different camera but dont know why that would matter. Puzzling. Any ideas why its not uploading them.

From edgewater beach resort we trolled towards powersite pretty much right down the middle of the lake, sometimes a little towards one side or the other. My brother had some sort of spoon on for awhile that he called a something or other doodle, that he said he caught trout on back east. It looks like a silver cloths pin almost. Im sure in line spinners and spoons will work, but we mostly used rapalas. gold and trout patterns worked well. At one point we averaged a hook up every 5 minutes or so. Sometimes it would be 15 minutes. but then you would catch several fairly quick. Then the bite would slow and it would be awile again. You might catch more bait fishing but I just prefer to cast or troll or jig fish.

I may be in the top 10 per cent of my buddies that catch all the fish. Take me out of that cirlcle and Im probably in the 90 per cent that dont like everybody else.

I came down over the weekend and didnt catch a thing on BS, so dont worry to much. Unless every single person that uses this forum comes there to fish, i dont think the fishery is going to be overwhelmed. And by the way, BS is lucky cause Im the greatest angler that there ever was. If it does get overfished just make a rule that you have to throw everything back. Theres a name for my pain, and that name is Bull Shoals. Until next time.

We pulled into Edgewater Beach at around 11: Sat. morning. Was on the water about 1:00. We consistantly caught trout trolling raps and casting towards shore at the ends of some coves where the water was a little shallower. Sunday was a little cooler and so was the bite, but we still managed our limits plus a few more to fight another day. We fished Powersite a little on the Forsyth side Sat nite and again on sun. morn. went back on hot side around 11 pm sun nite for an hr and zippo. Talked to a few locals and they were very courteous as most missourians are. I caught the first, dad caught the most, and bro caught the biggest which I will post the pic. Plan on comin back in a month or so. Might fish the upper end this time and stay at Lilleys.

Thanx for the good info. Headed down to fish sat and sun. Might give bull a try, havnt fished as far down as k dock so will give it a go somewhere between 76 bridge and k dock. It is very cold up here in north mo tonight, suppose to be in 40's down where you are this weekend so hope the cold you get dosnt effect the fishing too much. If nothing else will still be" fishin instead of just a wishin." has there been anybody night fishin at the pothole much?

Anybody have any favorite places, resorts, lakes, rivers, fly ins. places off the beaton path? Just a topic starter question since i see that it was blank. Ive been to Quetico park just across from boundary waters, and caught some smallies. That was in 95. dont know as if they'd let me across the border now.

Went out tues and despite a little warm up I discovered there was about 4 inchs of ice on the ponds. I cut a hole and finally caught 1 bluegill. Went to a smaller pond and promptly caught a very nice crappie. Turns out that was the only one. Its suppose to turn cold up here so we will probably have some good ice fishing for awhile. I went to a secret pond nobody has fished much, thinking I would slay em, and didnt catch a thing.

I figured any walleye catchs in Tany would be accidental. Ill be down there in a couple weeks to catch some trout and do a little night fishing at powersite just in case a few walleye show up. Might try for some largemouth on the lower end also. Probably fish bull shoals a little just to see whats biting. Hope the weathers good. I actually think there may be enough ice up here to hit a shallow pond or two this morning. We shall see. If i do i will report.

Has anyone ever caught a walleye out of tanycomo? I figured there has to be a few released in there once in awhile, or wash in from Table rock. Or maybe they jump over powersite dam like salmon. Just curious.

I bought a nikon p 80 at a going out of bus circuit city. I brought it home and charged the battery and it wouldnt come on. It finally did and I played around with it for a couple minutes and then it shut down and it wont come on no matter what. I guess it is a faulty battery or the camera is messed up. Am i missing something here or does anybody have any suggestions? Says on the reciept no exhanges or returns so may have to send it back to Nikon. Anyway i tried to save a few bucks, and got a headache. It is brand new.

Last day of muzzleloader over yesterday. Finally killed a doe on the dead run after it was chased by me by brother buck and his cohorts. Passed up a couple of "almost shooters", one on the river and one on gramma mary. Lost my camera in the river so there wont be any pics for awhile. Brother got a nice one opening day, which is same one on previous post. Ducks are flying this year for a change, reminds me of the way it used to be. Dad and I and bro are knocking down a few once in a while. Hope to report back as ice fishing is near if we get some good cold days. Bow season still on so might report back with a late pope and young.

Well its almost mid oct and starting to go bow hunting. Weather is warm and should be doing more fishing, but this time of year i seem to be in hunt mode. River looks great and ponds and lakes do too. Bow hunted elk last week in Sept. First 2 days were great, me and bro were really into them and had multiple encounters but didnt get off any shots. Then, the weather warmed and the elk seemed to vanish. On a scale to 10 id give it a7.5. I did float the river several times and as there was great water in late summer after bunches of rain. Caught limit almost every time out but nothing big. Heres a pic or two.

Heres a pic of fish, Kent and Mike are one the left and also releasing the fish. Oh yeah, Mike is the King of shed hunting.

Had a multi species couple hrs today. Went out about 230 this afternoon temp close to 90. First fish a decent bass on plastic worm. Then I screwed aroung and caught a 17 inch walleye. Then caught a 3 lb cat on a curly tail jig. My next fish was a crappie. Went back out in evening and caught 2 nice whites and a bluegill. About all I needed was a carp to complete the cycle of lake viking fish. Lots of rain and the river has been up all spring and summer. Rainin again today just when it looked fishable in a few days. I guess late summer will be more water than usual which will be ok.

Just got back from a hiking trip in Montana and Idaho. Hot days so rivers were raging and fishing sucked so not troutskys. Been awhile since blogged so Ill hit the highlights. Caught a few bass and craps. The whites were hitting great at lake viking few weeks ago and I landed the 50 plus flathead. Weather has been crap so fishing sporadic, and the mushroom huntin was so so. Just took two floats down river turk huntin and did not score, although saw plenty. If i would bother to carry a decoy would make a difference i think. bucka. heres a few montana pics. one of the yaak river, one of the Kootenai river froms pumas cabin, and the other overlooking Koot and Yaak valley from atop adjacent ridge after a bike ride and hike.

How big of a hassle would it be to float it anyway, Is it that bad?
-
Im gonna say the LITTLE MISSOURI river in the Great state of Arkansas. Nice bass. I can tell from that bent over tree in the background. I remember that place from the last time I floated down there.
-
thanks guys. I got me this nifty little nikon 100 digital camera for xmas and I take it with me most of the time. Cant seem to get a pic of a turkey or any mushrooms or a walleye, though. I have to thank my sponser STREN and my brother for taking me to LongBranch Lake last weekend which forced me to put new line on my reels.

I let one go last night too. I posted the pic in the general angling section. Should have posted it here I guess. Ive been fishing cats since I was a little boy and the biggest I ever caught was 20 lbs until last night. The gods must have rewarded me for 40 years of effort.
