  1. No, they had it set via Virtual and I watched it there. Too much Delta variant running rampant around here! Although I’ ve had the shots; our daughter caught it and she had been fully vaccinated.
  2. Bo’s charity was the Cassville High School Fishing Team,c/o: Freedon Bank, P O Box 309, Cassville, Mo. 65625, att: Kelly Mills Check payable to Cassville High School, memo : Fishing Team
  3. Here’s an update on Bo: The doctor just called with an update. Bo’s fever broke today and they were able to turn his oxygen down to 70% but his chest X-rays show increased fluid from the pneumonia so they are going to pronate him (put him on his stomach) for several hours. This has proven to be a beneficial treatment for covid patients on a ventilator, so the doctor hopes this will help him get past the worst of it. They will alternate front to back until they can wean him from the ventilator.
  4. Does look like the south ramp of Emerald Beach in Vinney Cr. Has the big tree you circle around to line-up onto the ramp??
  5. Spoondog, I really like this post, I find myself reading it over and over. Each time I find it more thought provoking, mind and sole searching Very well written! PhD political science,Educator, or trial lawyer??
  6. Mizzo has been trending this way for a long time. The J school was very radical when I was there in the 50s
  7. I think I found out what he's been doing , check out their utube video dated 12/15 with Little Jasper, pretty fast and furious!!
  8. Anybody wonder why no recent posts from Bo? Folks we're missing out on a wealth of experience and information here. I've fished with this guy for over 20 years and never known him to over exaggerate on anything especially what he catches. His knowledge here on TR is pretty much unmatchable. I don't know what 's going on here , but I think we're losing out here on up-to-date info.
  9. Hey Man I found it on e-bay, got 40# on the way, thanks again.
  10. GNS, Thank a lot. What did that 150 yrd. cost? You said it's pretty hard to find, like on e bay, can't find it locally- Cabelas or BP? Are you using regular tube blacklights?
  11. I still need some information on Nite iii's (eye's) , it looks very similar to Lunar Xtreme in size and they claim it will show 100' of florescent line. Bo, I understand all the other, but have to get allocations from my CFO.
  12. The advent of fluorescent braid, has in my experience made bulb type blacklights obsolete. Glo Vis braid doesn't illuminate quite as much as mono, thus causing you to miss a lot of hits. I have been using bulb type fluorescent blacklights and the other night I bet I missed nearly 50 bites, especially on the fall. I don't know how we fished in the dark, but I proved to myself I can't to it anymore. I have to see the line at all times since I started using braid. Here's my problem, once I started using braid a1nd feeling all the movement and sensitivity, I just can't go back to mono. Now back to what lead to pick for a poor man who is nearly 85 year old, but still enjoys fishing at night. I have found that Leds are the answer, can't afford $150. for a Lunar Xtreme like some people I know, no more than about have that amount.
  13. Has anybody had experience with Nite iii's Led Blacklight?, like width and beam distance using Glo Vis braid.
  14. Has anybody had any experience with Nite iii's led black light?. Like beam width and distance using Glo Vis braid.
  15. Has anybody had any experience with Nite iii's Led Blacklights, like distance and width you can see your line; especially with GloVis braid?? v
  16. Throughout all this I think I've learned something in spite of some aire of perpetual agitation. I guess it's okay for satire and ratings.
  17. Steve, What time of day did this happen, we try to patrol those ramps periodically. You are right we all have our low-life around. Was it at the main ramp across from turkey mountain or the one in Viney Cr. ? Most of the time the low-life will be partying on the Viney Cr. one.
  18. Bo, Sounds like you and Linda had a rough day yesterday on the Kings, any Crappie to report?
  19. I have fished with your jigs for over 20 yrs. and I would say it's better than a 95% bet of roof of the mouth; I really never paid much attention as to whether right or left side, but near center hookup. It can be kind of tough sometime to get it worked out of that bony cartilage at times. As I mentioned before, if you have a good hookset and proper line, the fish is in the boat. If you doubt that, then try em and you'll see what I am talking about. I noticed with interest the post regarding the lunker at K Dock on BS. I had a long comprehensive conversation with the several MDC Biologist regarding people harvesting Bass over 7lbs. and up. They told me these fish should be harvested as their life span was about over and they would most likely would not live long enough to be caught again. About 10 years in our lakes is about their life span. They said the smaller bass are the productive producers 14" to 18" range. I don't keep any bass, other than some whites and walleye occasionally, when my wife put the pressure on me to bring some home and when I am lucky enough to catch em.
  20. I was with " Old Bo " on this expedition and I too was throwing a Blackwidow Spinnerbait 1/2 oz. Jig and let me tell you he out guunned me 8 to 1. I was left to merely enjoy the Perseids and they were quite beautiful! I came up with this wild idea that a gaint vacuum sweeper was sucking the bass right out from under me and came up with and this, that couldn't be skill, so had to be something more scientific. So on ride back @ 4:00 A.M I came up with Otolith!!Thanks for the ride Bo!
  21. Yep, I was thinking the same thing. " You know poor people have poor ways ".
  22. I know the factory say you are suppose to keep them on charge until you are ready to use them again. Mine are BPS 2 10amp and I noted when I left it on there for extended period of time I would note the water level would eventually evaporate. I also noted when the batteries were charged the green lite was on that the charger was functioning properly and not putting out any charge, but when you unplug the charger and left it for awhile it would drain the batteries by that maintenance check of the unplugged charger. I checked this when I would unplug the charger and wait for say 30 seconds or so and disconnect the charger for the batteries and then touch the charger wires back to the batteries there would be a spark indicating a draw from the maintenance feature. So what I 've been doing is charging the batteries up full then unplugging the charger, disconnecting the charger and then connecting the charger again for an hour or so before I go again and disconnecting the charger from the batteries while not charging.
