  1. I saw you..next time I'll stop by.
  2. What boat was you in? I would have stopped by and said hi...I was in the prairie creek area from 1:00 until dark.
  3. Stump- You still think a good wave of fish will be hitting the banks? Did you see any in prairie yesterday?
  4. Guess my first post got deleted..I am fishing the chamber Saturday. Finished 6th last year but I was able to sight fish and it doesn't look like there are enough fish up on beds to do that this year. Thankfully, the bite is getting tougher and the weights are coming down in all the tournaments.
  5. Shoot me a text..417-531-1144
  6. Matt Arey called me after the tourney...said he only had around 12 pounds but he weighed a largemouth, smallmouth, mean mouth and a spot! Said that was the first time he had ever done that on Beaver! Him and his partner got into some schooling fish and whaled on them for a while!!
  7. Yes sir...I believe the Pagnozzi big bass tourney is Saturday.
  8. No, that's my buddy's boat. I've got a red/white Ranger 195. Matt's track record here at Beaver is insane!! 2 wins and 2 other top tens..he just 'gets it' here. Practicing with Matt before the tournament was pretty sweet! He explained his moves and why he was doing this or that. Andy Morgan is another guy that has this lake figured out. These guys are good!!
  9. Hey Bill-didn't know that was you. I was right next to you while you were talking to the striper guide. We were in the 'Chevy of Fayetteville' boat. We went out with our buddy Matt Arey and supported him for a while. We watched him lose a 4 pounder and that was tough. He has a limit for 12-13 pounds.
  10. I fished Sunday with Quaker State pro Matt Arey, Monday I fished by myself and yesterday with YO-ZORI pro Mike Surman. Bass are still biting pretty good all over the lake..can't give away too much as the FLW starts tomorrow. I did find a couple good ones...
  11. Yea sir Ryan..I fish the Everett with my daughter. I might be fishing the charity event Monday also and if so, be sure and say hi! Thanks for the well wishes in the FLW...I am ready to get this party started!!!!
  12. I respectfully disagree but I understand where you are coming from. I fished the tour on the co side for 3 years from Florida to New York and everywhere in between. These guys may drive fast but they spend more time behind the wheel of a bass boat than all of us combined. And I have met some lifelong friends on the tour. Thanks man..I'm pretty jacked!! I'll be out Saturday and Sunday in my boat following some guys around..that is unless the TD needs a fill in camera boat driver....
  13. So ready to get back on Beaver..the lake has been off limits for competitors for a week and a half!! Practice starts Sunday..fishing with 2014 & 2015 champion Matt Arey that day and Mike Surman on practice days 2 & 3. Tournament starts Arpil 14..anybody that has fished a pro/am type derby knows it's all about your draw!!??
  14. Whoever it is, they refuse to let a friend of mine fish because he has been catching crappie real good for a couple of months!! Talk about some real cowards!! According to the rules, he should be able to fish but when he tried to sign up, they wouldn't let him. ??? on on a side note, we caught some giant crappie at Table Rock yesterday!
  15. I can't be on the water due to the FLW tourney off limits until the 10th..look forward to your report!
  16. I will have the pleasure of fishing with a couple good ones in practice at least...Matt Arey(2014 and 2015 champion) and Mike Surman(2015 top 10). I really do think that there will be several guys that will have good bags every day...these guys come here the same time, every year. And this year, like you said, all the bass are fat and healthy.
  17. It wasn't just last Saturday...look at the results from the February 27 Everett tourney. Pretty much the same weights. We had a club tourney 2 weeks ago with less than 30 boats and it took 21 1/2 to win it...and 17 pounds or so didn't get a check!!! Most of the lake will be too dirty for the FLW guys to sight fish(I hope, speaking from a guy fishing the co-angler side of it). But there will be plenty of fish still doing the deal...and they will catch the fire out of them!!
  18. After I caught a couple walleye, I called my wife and told her we are going to eat walleye and some kentuckys for supper. And, of course, the only spots I caught the rest of the day was in the 2 1/2 to 3 pound range!! Lol!!
  19. It has been good for a while..we had a 30 boat club tourney a couple weeks ago and it took 21 1/2 to win.
  20. Well, I had a buddies Army sleeping bag that she snuggled up in!!
  21. If anyone doubts the bass fishing in Beaver right now, go out and prove yourself wrong! The lake is on fire!! My daughter and I had 15 pounds and didn't even get a check! Caught every one of them cranking but you can catch them any way you want. We had around 20 keepers Saturday and most everyone had a limit.
  22. I guess I'm in the minority here but while out pre-fishing for the Everett tourney last Thursday, I caught my limit of walleye. They went home with me where I treated them to a bath in hot oil!! Me, my wife, 2 daughters and my father-in-law enjoyed the meal...and I didn't feel guilty.
  23. I fished the Everret yesterday with mixed results. Had fish found in both clear and dirty water..ran to the clear water fish first and they had left the area. Worked my way back to the dirtiest water I could find and started putting it together, just couldn't get a big bite. Had a respectable 11 1/2 pounds but didn't even come close to a check!! Lol!! 19.79 was 1st, 19.19 was 2nd and several 13-14 pound bags!! Took 13 pounds to get in the money at 30th place. Beaver was on fire and showed out yesterday!!!
  24. I think it took almost 23lbs for 6 fish in the winter series!! Don't know any how/where details though.
  25. Lol..it was pretty bad for most boats. But there was a boat that found a little sweet spot. We saw them catch 6 or 7 with half of those around 3 pounds...and they were sitting about 30 yards from us!
