If you have time while your down there, go to ST. ARAMONDS CIRCLE, really cool place to check out, and I believe the IGFA museum is just north of st. aramonds before you get to longboat key.

I forgot all about moonshine beach, I think it is still public -
I usually start at the flat creek bridge and work the bank all the way to the pt15 sign.

There is an island just out from big cedar cove, that i always see boats beached on -
The turbo crawz seem to hold up better than a say a SK craw or PACA craw, but i'm not sure they have the action

I haven't fished with a lew's reel before, but i do own a couple of pro qualifiers, and love them. I bought both of them at the outlet store for $60 each

While i agree that BPS is a tourist trap, johnny has paid his dues, and is reaping the benefits of it. Before i worked for bps, i would have agreed with most of you on your feeling about johnny morris, now after having worked for him and have had the opportunity to meet him several times, you would be hard-pressed to find an owner of a company as big as bass pro, who cares more.

i'm just handing out facts about what i know. If i didn't work for BPS and wasn't involved with the BPS boats being run on spfld lake, i wouldn't have said anything.

When the city of springfield has their annual outdoor fesitval located at springfield lake park, BPS brings a couple small hp pontoons, and gives people a ride. IT IS THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD that allows it, and since they operate and maintain the lake, they can pretty much do what they want.
