  1. If you walk thru the sticks & ticks, this area they are talking about is only a mile from my house,There was an article in our paper ther other day saying all these rumors were false. The land they are talking about is pretty rugged a lot of it is old mining land and is undermined. The roads are curvey it would cost a mint to build roads to this area, heck it took 30 years just to get us a new bridge at Reddings Mill, and this area is just south of the Mill.
  2. Massar Lilley, I hate to disagree with you & Mr. Bill But as good as it gets, would be Me down there catching those smallies. I gotta get my wife and daughter to pray better that I win the lottery and can go fishin with Mr.Bill for about a month straight!! Back o d boat
  3. Does any one know of any tackleshops or tackle makers around Shell Knob Who might sell this brand of Spinner Baits? Or possibly make them and sell them.I ordered $50 worth of these spinner baits on 4/11 only to just find out I should have ordered them on 4/1 to have them here in Joplin By this Wed.As I will be at Shell Knob On thurs.to pre fish for a tournament. Thus the reason fo the Purple and white or purple and Lavander colored spinners.I know Jug n Plug in shell Knob sells what look like home grown spinner baits as I have bought and used them in the past and they are good baits. Can anyone advise? Back O D Boat
  4. Joeg I think you and Tyler both have it figured out.And when the water hits 60 degree I would even throw a black jitterbug & black buzz baut in the shallows. But just be carefull out there as things go bump in the night. thanks Back o d boat

  7. Well actually I would rather have a fiberglass boat. Heck I could even do the glass work. But wouldnt a mini Ranger for 1 man be neat. Back o d boat
  8. I have had in my mind for sometime buying a damaged bass boat from and insurance carrier and chopping it down to make a nice one man boat.i was thinking I could cut the boat in half behind the front deck, then reattach the transom making a 20 ft boat into a 12' so 1 or 2 full grown men could fish off it on small water.I was thinking of using a small tiller motor for power and good trolling motor. Do you think it would work??Ideas please. thanks Back o d boat
  9. I am soooo!excited.I get to come down and fish this tournament again. This will be the 3rd year my bro-in-law and I will have fished it.It is a blast even tho we didnt even weigh in a fish last year. But the fishing only keeps us busy between all the fantastic meals they serve you.And for 2 old fat boys, meals they be important. So is the comradary with all the other Shriners & Masons. This year I plan on catching fish .I have all my crib notes written down from this site and will transfer them carefully to the inside of my arm and back of my hand friday night b4 the tourny. And I ain,t gonna share with my bro-in-law as he wont let me on the front platform of his new 20'Ranger. (this is why I asked Massar Lilley to let me change my name from Burr1 to Back O D Boat).I just saw the long term weather forcast and they are calling for Rain all next week. But being me and my bro-in-law will be down there,Look For Snow!!When I win the lottery my new Ranger won't have a back of the boat.I gonna have 2 fronts with trolling motors and such welded back to back. Please wish me luck and pray it dosen't rain!!. Thanks Back O D Boat/formally known as Burr1 We will be in a whithe with met red z stripe 20"Ranger.So just look for the 2 big fat boys and say howdy!

My first post here.I love to fish spinnerbaits and I was wondering if any one here has tried War Eagles or any others brand of what they are calling their table rock lake shad color. It has purples or lavander, chart, some pink and pearl white in the skirts.I had never heard of this color comb. All I have used is white or white with a little chart. But all of a sudden I'am seeing this T/R lake shad color advertized.Thanks.Ahhh Great now its Snowing here in Joplin!
