  1. PH hunter. Yes they do work after dark. The one thing I think I have learned is to slowly swim them after dark. Keeping them just ticking the bottom.
  2. Thanks. I'm looking forward to getting back down there. Good luck
  3. Thanks for the report quillback. How were you fishing the jig? Dragging, reeling, hoping. Just curious. I usually drag and do pretty good but always wanting to learn how someone else fishes it. Also were docks a part of your arsenal, or wood? Again thanks for the report. Nice job!
  4. Dwiebenga. I loved the report. One of the best I have read in a while. Thanks for all the great info. The members on this forum do a wonderful job sharing a lot of great useful information. I wanna say thanks to everyone who provides the information helping other (like myself) get to enjoy the fishing that table rock has to offer. So....A big Thank you to everyone. Great appreciated.
  5. Kind of off the subject but since we were talking about Ike. If you haven't watched the videos of Mike and Steve Kennedy on www.20ftdeep.com you should, it's a new video documentary of some of the pros. I'm looking forward to the next one. Though I don't even know who it is yet.
  6. Great report macsimus and sounds like you had a great day on the water.
  7. Thanks champ. The pit boss has certainly become one of my favorite trailers. Often times that is what I pair up with my football jig. Thanks again.
  8. Bill great report! Thank you! May I ask what you are trailing on your wobble head?
  9. Wow! Alex nice fish! Great job. Pm me some time.
  10. Sorry prop hubs.
  11. Hmmmm. I thought they need to be pretty tight. I was just watching fishing university with Ray Brazier an ex boat racer and a mechanic guru. He was saying get'em tight. A mechanic..I am not.
  12. Hey guys and or gals. My boat is currently at the lake so I can't measure my hub nut. I'm sure the size can very but there may be a normal size. I'm wanting to take mine off to make sure it's clean of any foreign objects. I don't mind buying a couple of different sizes but I'm hoping I can limit it to just a couple different ones. Can anyone tell me what size of socket is typical? Thanks.
  13. I tried adding a photo but I don't think it worked. Sorry I haven't been able to do that yet.
  14. Fished near the dam for just a couple hours on thursday. Got out around 8 and had to get off the water at 9:30. The lightning was getting a little too close for my comfort. The warmest water I found was 58, but most of my fished came in the slightly cooler water around 51-54 degrees 4'-6'deep. I don't get too hung up on the "surface temp" water right now. My main focus was just staying in areas leading to spawning coves. Spawning is their main movement right now and to some degree, they "the fish," don't care about the surface temp like we seem to harp on. Unless......the sun is beating down early morning hours on these 50+/- degrees water temps. Don't get me wrong, I know when it starts to warm up we should all start moving closer to the bank into the shallower water. Especially when we start seeing 61-63 degree water. The point I am trying to make is...weather the water is 51 or 58 I'm more concerned about the type of structure and what it is leading me into. I.e. spawning coves, etc. Water was a little stained, but not near as bad as other places. I focused on chunk rock and ledge rock near secondary points and leading into major creek arms/spawning coves. Pea gravel didn't seem to be the thing just yet. But i think its going to happen pretty soon so get ready! I did catch one on a war eagle spinner bait 1/2 Oz in the mouse color at a feeder creek where water was still coming in. My bigger fish were all caught on a brown craw wiggle wart 4 feet deep. I was able to fish for a couple of hours on Wednesday evening as well. In just "not quite 2 hours" I caught 9 with 6 of them being keepers. Everything was on the same wiggle wart as above and the same areas mentioned above. Good luck to you all. I'll be back on the 10 11 12th. Unfortunately I may not get on the pond much because I am starting an addition on the lake house.
  15. Thanks Bill! I'm heading down tomorrow I'll be at big cedar. I guess I'll just have to be careful. I hope to catch a few.
  16. Sorry for their double post
  17. Isn't holiday island a good ways from the dam? I think I found it on the map but not 100 percent sure. If so...how does the lake look near the dam?
  18. So holiday island is a good ways from the dam isn't it? Not real sure myself. Sorry. If it is....how does their lake look near the dam?
  19. Rps. Where are those pics taken at on the lake. And does any one know if that is how it looks at the dam area?
  20. Thanks Champ for telling how to upload pics. Hopefully this works. If so it's a nice smallie I caught on the Ned rig last month at the rock.
  21. Good job shanman!
  22. Hey kazoobass you got the answer I would have given reference the "do nothing." I hope you have a great trip. Just remember, "a bad day of fishing is better than an excellent day of work." Good luck and let me know how it goes.
  23. Great job PHhunter. What lure are you catching them on an what kind of areas should one be looking at to target whites? I don't usually target whites specifically. But if they are one my daughter would have a blast!
  24. Recently Garmin added a new feature. I can't think of the name of this new feature. Help me out.
  25. Must not forget the "do nothing set up."use a fish doctor with a 1/4 Oz+/- about 2 feet up from your hook. Throw to the bank let it trail in behind the boat and recast to the bank. Do it all over again.
