  1. Awesome report!
  2. Sunday I fished the Hwy 12 island area and managed to put 2 16" LM and 2 13" spots, and 2 11" crappie and 1 decent white in the boat. Water temps were approximately 73 in the areas I fished. Bite was slow for me till the wind picked up a little, then it got much better. Monday I could not get a bite anywhere until the wind came up. Mostly fished around the Beaver shores area. I managed to get 2 14" walleyes, 3-keeper spots, and 6 tiny crappie(as in too small to keep). Water temps were 74-75. I fished both days from 630-1pm. I do agree the wind seems to be your friend on Beaver!!!
  3. NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Nice report! Thanks
  5. July is fine also. I just threw date out there.
  6. How about June 28th? Most people will be either night fishing or early morning fishing. We could make it say around 10am? Thoughts????
  7. I always seem to get into to trouble when I start things LOL Last time was a club that grew to over 1,000 members in the first year! Not sure I could do that again, getting too old LOL
  8. PC sounds good to me. You guys think we should invite wives and family or keep the first one to men only LMAO Do we want to jsut meet and talk or have food also?
  9. I think they call that "Keep It Simple Stupid" don't they? Unfortunately we all go through times were we are not the brightest LOL
  10. How about we set a date then. I know some won't want to invites and families but I think it will allow MORE folks to attend. Want you guys think? Location? Date? Time? LOL Who is going to run this sha-bang? LOL
  11. AMEN F & F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It all comes down to ONE thing and one thing only. And us old guys hate it more than others LOL But it all comes down to doing your HOMEWORK! When I left NWA 15-16 years go I could fish Beaver with the best of them now????? I am learning it all over again. LOL
  12. Are there any planned in the future? If so, WHEN? LOL Would be nice to put faces with these names, although I might not remember them the next day LOL Has this already been done or tried? Maybe of our smarter folks could give a few short classes on different things. BBQ? Fish Fry? I would kick in a few bucks to help with expenses or even a covered dish or 2. Maybe its just me but I know when I started the shrimping and fishing (ISAA) club in FL we had tons of folks show up and we ALL learned a ton of stuff! Just a thought.
  13. I have surely found the ways to you do NOT want to do it on the days I have been out there LOL Beaver Lake has been a finicky lake for over 20 years that I know of and I am sure beyond that. But it sure beats the hell out of staying home LOL
  14. It doesn't sound like I am too far of base anyway! LOL Thanks for your help!
  15. Mostly just fishing the fish I have marked on the graph. I have not been very successful at the trolling yet. I have been using flicker shad and trolling live bait but I think I have got 3-4 fish on them but not one keeper LOL So I am still working on that part. My fish finder is a low end on so does not pick up the high def things yours does. And that could be my problem.
  16. Well right now, I believe I am switching things up too fast and not giving things a chance to work their magic. But I may be wrong LOL
  17. OK thanks! I am still working on those same items but not having the good fortune you are LOL But working on it! I just want to be sure I am not missing doing something out there LOL
  18. I know on your report you stated using the Bobby Garland Baby Shad. I have also been using those with so so success for the last 2 weeks. I have been fishing with them free lined and also using a 1/32 oz normal round jig head. I have also tried using them on a marabou jig and caught small ones and small whites. I was wondering if you could lend some assistance as to the proper fishing and rigging methods to use for the baby shad? This is my first time using them. I have been using these colors: Monkey Milk, Blue Ice, and Pearl White. Thanks for any help you could lend.
  19. Shimano, pflueger
  20. Jupiter is one of the BEST places for Snook fishing! And they taste AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
  21. Awesome! Thanks for the report.
  22. Nice report Thanks for sharing!
  23. John F52 It is not that bad out there really at the 12 bridge area. I have a Carolina Skiff with 15" sides and in the 18-19mph winds we had the other day, I never one felt threatened at all. The hardest part was, that high of wind, really slows my boat down to a crawl with the electric motor. But when you throw in the wake boats, you will be doing the 2-3 and even the 4 step dance on the bow LOL
  24. LOL your probably right I should have at least 10 of each LOL I have left my fair share of lures in this lake for sure!
  25. Awesome idea!!!!!!!!! I went a few days ago to WM and to Cabela's before I knew about the pearl white and avocado colors, bought 4 of them, 2 in the #5 and 2 in the #7 in what I thought would be colors that would work around here based on past history with the lake. Then you guys posted about the pearl white and avocado colors. And I was like darn now I gotta go buy the colors that is working! So I went to HLS this morning could only find ONE #5 pearl white and a #6 and #7 in pearl white, bought all 3 of those. Got home and getting my rods ready to go and was wondering if I should return the other flickers I bought so reached in the tackle box to get them out and I had bought all 4 of them in pearl white!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO So I guess I am set for a while on pearl white. LOL As an added bonus t did boost my confidence in knowing the colors needed to use on this lake LOL However, like I have said before, Bass I know, its the other critters I have to learn about LOL So gonna go out and try these planer boards tomorrow along with the new flickers and gonna try some live bait and hope to catch my own shad LOL We will see what tomorrow brings. I just hope for a scale or 2 is all I am asking LOL Worst case is I get some fresh air! LOL
