  1. Great job!
  2. Good for you, Robert. I met vinsott soon after he moved here from Florida. He rented a duplex then purchased that boat slip before he bought his boat. Talk about priorities! Since he purchased his fishing pontoon, he's given great effort to conquer Beaver Lake and he shares what he's learned. I worked with Chris for a year or so before he moved on to greener pastures. Like most people who work for our company, Chris was there to share his passion for the outdoors. We called him Undercover Boss. With his work ethic, intelligence, and desire to share knowledge and make sales...he could run the company. But he was there earning a low wage and having fun. I'm proud to say the Undercover Boss is a good friend of mine. I'll donate one of my Striper rods and a 6500c.
  3. The bass tourney guys are loading up and filling the "to go" bag. Might have to start keeping some of those annoying kentucky's if you want a fish fry.
  4. Yeah...but it was much skinnier and had a long nose.
  5. Can you have progressive lenses done? I currently use bifocal sunglasses on the water but would rather have progressive.
  6. Get a toothpick and clean the dirt dobber mud out of the pee hole.
  7. It's expensive but if you get a few friends to go, the cost isn't so bad. You can get the basics down then go out on your own. It'll save you money in the long run.
  8. It never hurts to hire a guide to learn the ropes.
  9. Trout, the squirrel dog.
  10. Repaired my sons mower, washed all the kayaks, organized my shed, then grilled some prime sirloin. Pretty dang good for $6.99 a lb from Sam's.
  11. Vinsott and I will be out on Monday. 1860 Camo boat somewhere above MN...not real sure yet. Stop by and holla. I'll have my orange hat on when the fast boats come by. We'll be searching for shad and the big ones.
  12. Looks like fun to me!
  13. JGS, that's similar to what I used to do when I did nothing but chase bait and fish for stripers. I had a 200 gallon zero milk tank in my back yard with a homemade offset garbage can filter system and aireator. I could easily keep shad healthy for several months during the colder months. All I used was water softening salt, better bait, and foam off. I changed a third of the tank out about every other week. For fishing, I'd load 20 shad in my 20 gallon blue water shad tank. Those that weren't used would go back in the 200 gal tank. Also, the healthy ones that I trolled went back to the big tank. I had about as much fun fooling with shad as I did catching stripers. Lee Winkler was my mentor. I pretty much copied his system.
  14. What did the hybrid weigh? Looks like a trophy to me.
  15. Is the water clear at the intake? I'm thinking about going above HC tomorrow...haven't heard any reports on muddy water.
