Tough day found fish all over from point 5 to PC but lock jawed could no get a bite i was using 6 to 12 in shad from top to 30 deep

I've been seeing fish on side scan between the islands , east bluff and 12 bridge.

Went out of PC about 10:30. To 2 pm Looking for crappie over brush between the islands. Water temp 68 wind calm water like glass. Seeing some topwater action which lasted about 10 min and no takers. So back to crappies. Good day with nine keeper crappie and two 20 in Walleye all came from 10 to 20 ft of water using minnows. Looks like walleye for supper

I'm see the same thing lots of fish but none surface. Ran a flickering shad in them a few times but no takers. After two hr I gave up. Without live bait it was no going well. So I ran and found some good Shad for later

Thanks Champ & Dan I think you're both right. I just hate it when they look at the bait, follow it all the way to the boat only to leave it. I was think something worked faster may trigger strike ! If all other fails you can always call them up with an antique phone lol

Any of you striper pros tried buzz bait for top water stripers ? I'm on vacation this week and looking to try some thing new. What do you think?

Great job Dan. I'm glad to see people starting to pick up top water bite. I will be out in the morning If you see a white triton that's me, stop by and say hi I did not fish much this summer so I ready to hit it hard

Sorry to hear you had trouble Keep in mind that insurance will try to put a new unit on and charge betterment based on the year of the motor. Normal 60 to 80% you will be better off on A used as no betterment would apply

What do u think ? I would use it. It needs a little more outriging maybe some pvc pipe and noodles LOL

Keep posting photo, I like knowing some one is finding them in this mud. Lol I went out of pc about 10 to 4 fished around the Blackburn area had two good hits but no hook up. Boat failed to run right so quit early. Using big shad as bait

I've recommend it like a helmet for motorcycles is a choice but if your not going to wear one then please sign a donors card The average person will only last 15 min in 40 f water but your body parts are usable for hrs i don't always wear a helmet but I have sign the card and always wear a PDF when the water temp 65 or less -
If you want to catch stripers you must first learn the fine art to find and catch large gizzard Shad any other bait is about 2 in 100 that two fish in every 100 trips to the lake. If you have gizzard Shad you odds go up i alway fish the first hour and half looking and hunting Shad I black bass fish along the way. If I catch Shad them I switch to striper fishing

I started about 11 went to HB bluff. Set to lines out 30 min later got first hit but no hookup I think the planner board was to tight so she spit the hook. About an hr later got a good hook set on a 12 lb Seen large bait ball the were working the edges but no other takers I will be out again I the morning

I would trust them if I could find them, I would even give them some dead bait lol

Point 12 to Edens bluff, from 1030 to 2 then worked my way back to pc

Water is getting murky hard to see them shallow. I ran up the lake in cleaner water back of creek and found some for in the morning . Not sure we're to go. I worked pt 12 south about 2 miles points, cuts, found big balls of bait but no takers. But when loading boat a pc a small older boat at 430 loaded a nice fish about 20 lb

I was in a white triton, not much luck on the Shad In the morning to cold to throw the net with all the clothing lol Went back for bait around 2 so I would have bait for this morning

OK I was not even go out on Friday so I went out this morning 7 to 3 out of pc The suckers work great but there is one problem small bait small stripers about 20 today but all in the 15 to 18 inch range . Fun day. Starter HB docks area and caught five as soon as the bait hit the water moved closer to pt 12 and got a few more worked my way back to pc picking up the rest. Picked up some good size shad for the next few days . Hope to pick up in size with the right bait

I think the same way, I will try them but first choice will be large Shad, I will run three rods one with shad and two with the suckers. See which get hooked up first maybe 4 rods lol

I found some small 6 to 8 in sucker today , so I will be out in the morning trying them out. I will let u know if they work
