  1. Nice bait and striper congrats
  2. Recommend Table Rock Kings river , that's where I go when I want them. Using Bottom bouncer and Night crawler rig with sherbert color spinner
  3. I got a 100 gal stock tank hooked to a pool filter so I can keep minnows and sucker fish all week. Just in case there no shad.
  4. I change out the water every 30 min or less if I have large bait so adding anything would be a waste.
  5. Yeah you breathe on them and they will die but they are the best catfish and the catfish don't care if they are dead.
  6. I fished grand lake for years using Threadfin shad catching them in the backs of creeks and mud flats. I Thought they were probably about the same, had no idea the difference in size until a few weeks ago.
  7. I'm one of those people that understands better with visual instruction , thought there might be a few others out there as well so here's some photos first striper hors d'oeuvre Brooder second striper vegetable threadfin shad Third striper t-bone steak large gizzard shad
  8. Good luck Dan, hope to catch a boat load that way you cantell us where they are. I will not be able to go until Wednesday or Thursday so I'll probably just fish Thursday on .

  10. Stump bumper I'm with you, hard to sit back and let her run with it. hard to know then the hook is set or will she open up and let the bait go. On the other side of that coin I see what fin& feather has posted and his record Is unquestionable one of if not the best at this game. I believe it our old habits fishing black bass which bite us in the back side.

  13. Jdoc your absolutely right but this was a case newbe at striper fishing having too may rods out with loose drag, and not paying attention. I hope to meet her again or her sister as I will not make the same mistake twice Lol
  14. Took it all ,it was my back line 200 out when she took and ran south
  15. What hook are you using with 6 in shad. I'm using 3/0 circle several hits today without getting the hook set. Had one good hook which fish spooled reel and poped the 15 test line so if you see yellow braid around point 11 it has a nice fish on it.
  16. Great fish , I don't take the better half or dog whet temp is below 70 . Better for them to be hot at home mad because I late fishing ,them them to be in the boat mad and cold. lol
  17. Nice ! Your brave to fight the clod and wwwwwind so the fish God rewarded you. Going to try my luck today
  18. Beaver tailwaters is a great place to take the kids, catch a limit of trout in a couple of hr. Kids love to catch , they get bored quickly when the bit is slow. Water is up so boating from Houseman is easy to get to the 62 bridge. Fish from the first island past the bridge back to the bridgeBait is easy with power eggs in Orange , sunrise, white, use 1/4 oz egg sinker and two ft leader of two lb test with#8 hook. And have fun MAKE sure you read and follow the requirements for trout fishing the area
  19. Most boater left during the light rain , bit picked at generation
  20. Most boater left during the light rain , bit picked at generation
  21. I believe it is a choice to wear a PFD , just like a helmet but if you don't use them then please sign a donors card. I keep several extra PFD's in the boat and give them to kids I see playing in the water without , if only child is saved in my life time it's worth it
  22. Remember a bad day of fishing is a lot better than a good day at work.
  23. Nice ,
  24. Good looking Thank you for sharing
