I also have noticed all the sediment.I wonder if upper Taney como is clean as a whistle now?Im sure lots of it came from feeder streams that were very muddy(construction, areas of excavation), I have never expierienced this up close before, and now working on the lakefront I guess I just see it more clearly.
Phil hang in there buddy.I was helping at the landing yesterday and early this am, and I can see the futility in the situation .My Familys prayers will be with you and all the others directly effected by this event of historical proportions.I just hope in the upcoming days and weeks no one loses a life trying to save a runaway dock or trying to save a piece of cherished furniture from a flooded home.
Im sorry but I clean crappie and some times they have eggs in them.Im not sure how to tell if they have early or late egg sacks. But I do know one thing, by the time I see the eggs its too late to shove them back in.
QUESTION HERE??????? If you keep fish and dont eat them , what do you do with them all?I know they arent all mounted.I am a fisherman, I fish for enjoyment, and Food. Why waste time bickering about this subject.Im getting ready to go mushroom hunting shortly and I gaurentee I aint throwing anyback,,,,,,,,,,no matter how big they are.
Billy I hate to burst your bubble, but there is no couple grand ,depending on boat discount to bass pro employees.Im sure conciderations are given, but lets not go overboard. And Trav , why be that way?IM going to fish taney a lot this year. I can tell.Especially with the other lakes going to be such a mess for a while.I want to keep informed on the fishing secrets, so I wont be condecending about your comment, as I work at BP also, but I used to be a secret agent man and a double knot spy.
So back to my question of whites in roark. Are there any showing up?Are there any crappie of any size to be caught? I am thinking it may be the only close fishable water I can travel to.Has anyone been under the state highway bridge and seen any whites or even suckers? Are there trout up to roark resort? Are there any sunken brush piles where all the old docks used to be?Just how deep is that creek?thank you in advance
Phil, do you think a person could still launch below the beaver creek bridge as of sat am?I would drive over and investigate but seems with higher prices for gas and grocerys my lovely wife tends to frown on driving around.I have also caught whites up in the flooded areas before and had a great time, would love to do this again .I imagine this weekends rain will dampen the fishing up there a bit.Is the water where you can see the fish and they see you , or is it still a little stained? of course these questions prolly went out the window during last nights rain.Have a glorious day .John
so have there been any whites found in roark yet? Ive seen lots of trout caught in mouth of coon creek lately also.I would say the trout are tired of constant fighting the swift current and are trying for calmer waters.
bobber on hometowndailynews.com <local radio station for branson area> in the garage sale area theres a guy wanting to buy a canoe, maybe hes the one you need to get with.
dang taxi you are old.I bet very few remember the wax museum and that old car being down there in turkey creek junction., besides us hillbillys,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Id say the fish in a Bass Pro tank eat better then in some of our inpoundments. Also I get to see the kids marvel at the fish tank everyday at my employer. And if you watch the small ecosystem you can tell what the lake fish are up to. I like to see the fish also.So im my opinion is differing from the others but thats what makes life interesting.
