sounds like someone caught a bunch of crappie in the long creek area

Its been a long time since I reported anything as my life has been topsy turvey.,,,,,BUT, last night I tried to catch the allusive powersite crappie and actually came home with a mixed bag. One 20 inch walley, 6 huge whites, and 5 wonderful crappie. I was swimming minnow fishing and I can tell you something from expierience. I f you think you have a snag , second guess yourself, those walleye dont move to fast at first on my little crappie pole.

my best trip of the century, was taking my 79 year old heart bypass and valve replaced recovering Father to Table rock to spoon for kentuckies.We couldnt catch a fish, it was cold and windy, but he wanted to stay.I suggested a windless cove with trees to try for crappie.They were there.He caught a few and fought them like lunker bass.Even the vienna sausages tasted great

I also attended for an hour or so, before I had to pick up my daughter from another get together, or as she called it a news years gala.I enjoyrd the fellowship and the food was outstanding.Thanks for the great start for a new year.John Koch

are the Loons still ther? I remember last year we caught a lot of fish and were surprised at seeing 8 of those birds in one small acreage of water by the swim beach at long creek>

My 80 yr old father, who has had heart surgery and a very hard slow recovery wants to go fishing , I am wondering if the vertical spoon bite for kentuckies and whites is still happening .The long creek area is my first choice just because of short boat rides from ramp on cold days.Any info will be appreciated. I havent gone in almost a year because of his health and Im wanting to go myself, to catch fish and to enjoy his last days.Thank you

Come on guys, Ive been a resident of Branson for 47 years, I ve seen them come and go.Im not a kid , but just cause a young persons singer comes to town doesnt mean they are anti family.Half of the shows on the strip at one time or another have people upset with, languge, costumes, liqour,music too loud, etc, etc etc.Let him come .Hey I dont complain when things upset me, I usually sit in the corner and tremble. Went to K dock area again and had a blast.Caught sufacing bluegill by the boatload, caught large whates under them.And even managed a few crappie.I did see some thing Ive never seen before , large schools of what looked like creek chubs on the surface.Could these be asian carp?They were all over the flats by the ramp.couldnt catch any but when a lure hit the school all heck broke loose.Have a good one all

Went to K this morning and had to wear a coat.After fog lifted I had a wonderful time.Caught a few crappie, bass, white bass , and huge bluegills.The gill were chasing inch long shad by the hundreds.Very large fish in my opinion.Saw several large groups of whites surfacing and they were not the real small ones either.Now its back to work I go, maybe be back in a week or so.

I think the only thing that tastes bad is the sour grapes in the forumn

Can anyone tell me what kind off pressure is needed to expell thousands of gallons of oil from the ground with the incredible pressures from the ocean at 5000 feet???This well must be an astonishing find.Bp is not going to give up on this one, ever.Im sure im not the only one who thinks those videos of the oil leak look like those black smoker springs you see on the discovery channel.You cant tell by those videos if its a large leak or not, must be extremely massive.I hope they get it handled but only so much can be done, and whos to say when the clean up will be done? When BP runs out of money or when they pay the lawyers , who are gonna retire on this one

Invest in BP (British Petroleum, if they get out of this one they will be the best oil company in the world..........

Unhook boat from winch, have a long rope , approx 10 feet longer then boat tied to boat and looped around winch tower, leave coiled rope on top of boat bow, back into water to float boat, pull out of water letting coiled rope feed. when you get end of trailer out of water boat should be floating behind trailer in water and you can pull to shore,bring dry shoes and pants, wind some times will effect, leave cell phone in boat so wont get wet, watchboat float off as rope breaks and realize cell phone is in boat, laugh uncontrolably as rain starts and see you are only vehicle on ramp, accidently lock keys in truck,have great day

water is over the road at tin whistles this morning.Not enough you cant drive through with a four x four truck but your moms taurus aint gonna make it.Saw three boats up past the whistles but it looks like back water but still has good current there.Ended up playing in the water below powersite dam with a few walleye caught.No keepers, but sure suprised me when I was expecting a crappie or two.Did lose a nice walleye, I need to quit trying to finese those fish with my crappie pole

WEnt to my fathers this afternoon and saw 7 boats in mouth of roark creek, also heard of bunches of fish wildly swimming around in bee creek.Are the whites there? anyone catching any?

My newest electronic fish and structure finding device was manufactured in 1991 and got at a garage sale for pennies.I get to see all the latest and greatest at work.There is a lot out there, but even a flasher will help you find fish and structure(right Dustin?) The best fish finding devise is in your head, past trips and common sense will help you find them.Use your geology class teachers advice and look at your surroundings. I can tell you even my old unit seems to draw my attention more then it should, I always seem to miss things while playing with the darn thing.see you on the lake............
