  9. Darn it Phil I was gonna be there this morn but my little girl is sick and had to stay home from school.I caught some in swan yesterday morning.Mostly small kentuckies. The Kentuckies range from 8 inches to several pounds. If you look off the bridge it will make you a believer.Hundreds of fish and they seem to ignore lots of casts. I SAW LOTS OF BIG TO SMALL GAR AND CARP ALSO.Tonite my other daughter has a band concert at school so I prolly wont get back for several days.Dont catch them all ok.
  10. I remember my first beer
  11. Phil.where were they in kdock cove? I have 2 days off and might try monday if it isnt way too windy, like tommorrow claims to be.Thanks
  12. Phil, I think I saw you in swan, but not sure.I lucked out and caught some very healthy big crappie on the mud bank.Caught a few whites, but I let a gigantic walleye get the best of me.I am betting it would have gone 10 lbs and I do have a witness, I was trying to get collaburated with a friendly boater with a net and prolly would have jumped in his boat to try to net the fish in the creek, but the fish made a run towards the main lake and the old 5ft 6 didnt keep him at bay.The boater thought I was gonna be upset but I figure I had a fight for a bit and enjoyed the heck outta it so I still won .It just dont get any better then that.
  13. I have a 2003 hd2500 4x4 4door silverado, with the 6.0 litre v8.It will do the job for sure.Mite even be interested in parting with it .Then I could buy that really cool lifted jeep my wife hates, but my girls think is really all that
  14. Was thinking of going to K dock today for a while but am thinking it might be pretty muddy from the rain.Has anyone been there sunday am or evening to give me a water clarity report.I hope some one reads this monday early.Thank you
  15. Hendernt maybe you should have fished from the other side of the boat
  16. was it a treated board??? That was my marker .Sam you mentioned 9:30.The actions over by then. You have to fish by the overturned lumber truck between snapp and cedar to catch any anyhow..
  17. Martin those crappie where so close to the bank they had seed ticks on em
  18. Be vewy vewy quiet...........................................
  19. I remember in the early 70s my grandparents still lived on a farm close to the black river, in northern missouri. That spring the flood waters where very high and flooded the farm for months. When the water went down we where cleaning up around the hog lot and saw a gigantic fish trapped in a pool close to the barn.It was the biggest flathead id ever seen in my life.It was over 75 lbs.The fish was scarred up and had to have been very old.No we didnt lose this fish and we didnt break any lines but still disapointed. We tried to clean the fish for a cookout, but it had so many hooks and sinkers and leaders in it we couldnt even clean it , but on the good side we got 50 dollars for her after we scrapped her out
  20. Went to k dock this morning and immediatly got into nice fish.I am going to say it was one of the best crappie fishing trips I have done in many years.I limited out in 2 hours and had to start fishing for whites.I caught several of them also. All of the crappie where between 12 and 15 inches and ready to nest.No they werent nesting yet but very very close to shallow area of lake .I hope the guys that barrelled in on me as i was fishing the stump caught some because I decided that the culling process was over anyway. Its a big lake boys.......Thank you Lord for the great day..
  21. The best fight I ever had was a 6 lb drum on my crappie pole and 2 lb test.
  22. Sorry for your unlucky day, but I had the opposite.I put in at Kdock. Met another fellow I knew and we discussed the day,I decided to chase crappie instead of whites and Im glad of my desision. My father had told me he wanted a mess of crappie as he cant get out hardly at all because my mothers poor health.I caught so many small crappie I lost count but the legal size and very large crappie added to a honest limit .6 of my crappie were between 14 an 15 inches and one very large black crappie left me at the boat.I must admit it was a very good day to be out on the lake.I hope this weekend isnt as bad as they say and maybe the first of the week I can repeat.Oh and guys they are a long way from 25 foot deep and were prolly 50 yards from a 4 foot flat, full of eggs and very loose at that. And to the guys in the blue hydrasport,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,NA NA <<<NA NA NA>>>
  23. jeff where you close to the steps??
