  1. I caught a nice 23 in walleye today drop shoting trees. Caught several bass also. Nothing big though.
  2. Fishing has been pretty good in the mornings. Top water has been the go to early and drop shot for later. Summer pattern is still holding on, but next week should be a lot better with the cold rain and cooler temps. I’ve been seeing a lot of shad towards backs of creeks but the fish haven’t made it back yet ( well at least where I’m fishing). Should be any day now where schools of fish will be feeding on those tiny shad. Well good luck guys and stay safe
  3. Love ur reports Quill. Thanks for the up date. I’ve also been noticing lots of shad everywhere I go. I’ve really been watching that water temp. I’m excited for it to get into the mid 70’s.
  4. There’s several on the lake. I would think most if not all would be pretty good, but can’t personally comment sense I’ve never been on a guide here on beaver.
  5. Sounds like a good day. Good job on the wallies. I’ve never targeted them.
  6. Yes. I’m glad the lake is getting back to normal. This summer was CRAZY!
  7. The summer pattern is still holding on. Fish are still on channel swings and points with deep water near by. Bass are becoming more aggressive with the water temps cooling. I caught a bunch today on walk the dog baits and wake baits. Nothing big but a lot of them. It was pretty much the same yesterday early morning and then drop shot and spoons later in the morning. I’m yet to get a full day on the water this week. Seems like all I get is about 4 or less. Just gotta make the best of it I reckon. Anyways good luck out there fellas and stay safe.
  8. Nice looking slabs. Fishing has picked up the last few day for sure. Good job
  9. I’ll be out chasing the top water bite once it gets into the 70s. I surprised how cool the water is for August! Thanks for the report.
  10. Good job getting them! I get them on drop shot and spoons this time of the year.
  11. When I get back to town I’ll help u out. I want to say u have Lowrance units right? I’m using hummingbird mega imaging but I can try to help no the less
  12. I love the cold all the way through. Fall through early summer is my favorite!!! When I see ice on the boat is when I know I should go lol.
  13. I really enjoy learning and trying new techniques. Summer time is when I have to pull out the old bag of tricks and many new ones I love the summer cuz it makes me a better fisherman, that being said I can’t wait for early to late fall. When fish are Predictable and willing to bite more than a drop shot or a spoon 20 feet deep. Don’t get me wrong I love the challenge of getting them in the heat deep but man.... there’s nothing like a fall bite. I may just be getting lazy lol. Idk.
  14. It’s weird, but I’m guilty of it.
  15. It’s fun for sure but this heat is tough
  16. Lol. It’s to hot for tee shirts right now. Plus I gotta work on my base tan 😅
  17. Electronics are very very very important to me. I’m glad I finally splurged a bit and got some decent units. The side imaging has been the hardest to figure out, but most rewarding now that I’m beggining to figure out.
  18. It took a while for me to find the fish this time. Probably 1 1/2 of idlening and using trolling motor before I finally got a school of fish. But when I did I tore them up. Caught at least 15 fish all together in a couple of hours. Caught the fish on a channel swing this time.. most were small 10-12 in spots and LMB. But I did manage 2 big LMB. It was a cool chasing the fish around in a 50ft diameter area in the channel swing. I was in 80 foot of water fishing 15-20 feet down, when fishing swings that’s not uncommon though. Anyways good luck out there fellas, stay safe.
  19. They seem pretty willing to bite Quill. I was catching them mid day. First day from 2-6 then yesterday from 4-8. Fishing them deep seems to really help.
  20. I’ve been fishing points the last 2 days and have done ok. Nothing big. Small spots and LMB. Going to have use ur electronics though. I’ve caught them from 20-40 feet deep depending on the point. Good luck out there fellas. Stay safe.
  21. The ned rig is still something I have not tried. I usually do drop shots and spoon this time of year. I really need to try the ned though.
  22. I think I’ll hit the water Tuesday. I made the mistake of trying yesterday and couldn’t even launch. I’ll do what I normally do during the summer and hit those swings. I’ll post back afterwards
  23. Don’t know how much help I could be but, trolling points with B.B. for walleye would be good I’d think. Stripers would probably be caught 25-40 feet deep (maybe deeper) with live bait early and late-dark. Indian creek to starky’s will be the places u want to look for stripers.
  24. The last time I was on the water was 3 weeks ago. I was catching fish off points early morning and late evenings. Since I got back from vacation I really don’t know where to start. I would think points early then channel swings during the day? That’s always been pretty good during the dog days of summer. Has anyone been fishing the channel swings mid day? Also sorry for the lack of reports. Most days I’ve got to fish would end by noon, then I’d come home and switch boats and wakeboard/tube with the kids the rest of the day. By the time I’d get home I’d be exhausted and wouldn’t post anything. My boys are 10 and 7 now and demand lake time lol. Anyways. Good luck out there fellas and stay safe.
