I actually cat this big cat on a lil flicker shad ( back in February)

Nice stump. Those flicker shad do the trick. Ive never had much luck with flickers when striper fishing, just smaller striper. Flickers catch about everything that swims. Live bait is the best option For me and big stripers.

Drop shot is been good for me. Top water early and late. Spinner baits have done well on cloudy days. But welcome to beaver. Tough lake but you'll never know what you'll get into out there.

Made it out there this afternoon. Trolled live bait around coose, point 10 and the islands. I didn't get a bite. I'll head to RB areas Friday. Not sure what time. I haven't decided that yet but hey, at least I have an idea where I want to troll. Lol. I'll be keeping fingers cross till then.

I'm going back tomorrow afternoon. I'll be on the hunt for striper again. Hopefully tomorrow pans out

November and December r always fun! I'm excited also Quill. But I'm sure enjoying the current weather also! Just perfect outside.

Yeah quil. I'm not sure. Both fish were just under 15 inches though. Had some nice fat bellies too

I think that first fish may have been a mean mouth btw. Looked like a small mouth when I got it out. But once I took a good look at it it seemed to have a dark stripe down its side like a LM. But it was very golden. Idk though.

Went on a striper hunt this morning. I was trolling by 6 am. It was chilly today. Had to put a jacket on for the first few hrs. N e ways, I started at point 10 dragging some nice big shiners from the surface to about 30 fow I went into ventris about half way back and turn back out to main lake with nothing to show for my efforts. It was about 8 by then. So I packed up and headed to copper mine. Got lines set up again and landed a couple of bass. I fished the area till 10 then called it a morning and headed home. Here r the bass I got.

Well all I use is triline, 100% floro on all the bait casters... I use nano phile for main line on open faces. And I use 14lb test on my top water. Never had a problem either. Hope that helps

Vinsott, it should turn on any week now. I tend to cover lots of water this time of the year looking for striper. Sunday I'll cover from RB to PC... Actually I'll do that until noverber. Usually by then I've located them. It's always hard to get on them after a full spring and summer of chasing bass. But stripers do become easier to find once they've moved past PC. Well at least in my opinion ?

So I made it out this morning and had 4 lines out by 615 am. Was very foggy and cool. Not not quite enough for me to get jacket on, but fresh n e ways... I marked tons of bait and smaller fish. I did hook up to a spot and what I was after.... A striper!! The only thing is, it wasn't quite the size I was looking for.. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.... here's the striper I caught. Nothing to brag about but I at least got what I went for lol.

Lol ya. That darn work! Well I'll post tomorrow if or if I don't get into them. Regardless it'll be nice to get out there early

got out of HSB at 9 am. Fished till 1pm. I started with top water sense it was cloudy and not too late, I had no luck with that.. Threw a spinner for a while and also nothing. Pulled out the old drop shot and got a few KB. I got bored of dragging the drop after about an hour and started to motor out when about the same time I seen a massive blow up! So I motored down and killed it. I hung out for a while and seen striper flying out of the water. Just one at a time though. Not a frenzy. I pulled out a some flicker shad and proceeded to troll with 4 flickers out the back. I trolled for 1 1/2 hrs with nothing. All I know is that I'll be out 5am fishing live bait tomorrow!! Water temp was 72

I went out yesterday and had about the same day. I headed out about 1:30 though. Caught a few small guys. I drove a lot looking for schooling fish. Never did find any.

I never did make it out today. I was swamped with chores. ?

Well I guess I'm going to try and troll next week. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. Thinking of trying RB, CM and the islands. I'll keep y'all posted..... I probably bass fish till then and report that also.

Bill U just made my day! I've been waiting on some striper reports. Really cool though. Nice catch. I was going to wait till mid October to troll but, I'm may start sooner with stripers being caught in the area. Thanks for the report though. Really appreciated
