  1. Headed out today looking for some more drop shot action. But couldn't get a bite with it today. So I switched top water and caught fish 5 KB in short order. I only fished from 12 to 2 pm so that's all I could figure out in that time span, water temp was at 76-78 degrees.
  2. Stump I bet ur right. All fish were super fat.
  3. I'll say this, I had to fish super duper slow! Dead sticking it at times to get the bite. Fish seemed to be wary.
  4. Yes sir... I started drop shoting a few weeks ago... Man I wish I would have tried it sooner. ?
  5. Well I headed out of HSB at 1pm. Drove out to MN. I started with a drop shot and got bite immediately. Was about 11 inches and fat as a football. I kepted at it for about an hour without a bite so I left. Drove north a ways and caught this fat LM. Fished the same point without another bite. Moved more north and finally got into a good school of fish. Ended up with 5 smaller KB, 1 small SM, 1 good LM, and 6 KB over 12in.. All but the nice large mouth were caught on dropshot. Water temp was 78 and most fish were caught in 10-20 FOW
  6. Thanks for report. Fishing has really improved lately. I'm loving it.
  7. Sounds like a great weekend. Really to bad about that big smallie though. Ahhh the one that got away. I think we all have a story of "the one that got away" I know I have a few

  9. Good job Jerry. I love the crappie. I'm about to start trolling in a couple of weeks. But I'll be on the hunt for striper. Funny enough, I always catch a few crappie when fishing for striper. I take what I can get though lol.
  10. Tot totally agree with Jdoc! Lol. Nice n e way. Post some pics if j can also
  11. Nice! Ya I've got into them at joes latley. Top water bite for me though. I also go to see some bald eagles crashing the water and coming up with something the last couple of outings. Well once, while in bass boat and other while tubing. But ya, Eagles r here. Great report!
  12. Walleye huh? I've forgotten what those fish look like lol.....Congrats on wallies. Sounds like a good day.
  13. Nice job showmebass. I'm a terrible crappie fisherman. I just can't stop chasin bass or striper to actually take the time to learn how to crappie fish.
  14. Well I didn't get to go as early as I would have liked, but did eventually make it out there at 12. Fished HSB to MN. I threw a spinner bait and crank bait first off and couldn't get anything. I noticed a few schooling fish and went out to them and got bit immediately.. Nothing big. About 10 inches. I kept all Kentuckys that were under 12in for my boys to eat. I worked a spoon a bit too. Got a 1 1/2 cat fish and a couple more spots.. Fishing was best when clouds cover the sun..ended up with 5 little eater spots and a nice cat.. Water temp was 78-80..
  15. Ok fellas. I'll be out in a blue nitro. Good luck out there. I'll be launching out of PC also. So give a wave and I'll be sure to do the same. Good fishing ???

  19. Ya thanks for report. 8 times out of 10 thats what I do with my boys. For the same reasons u stated. They love to catch not so much fish. But I guess for a 7yr and and 5 yr I should expect that.
  20. I was actually fishing creeks Taylor. They're not at the very backs.... But in the upper 2/3 of the creek. I had to fight the wind the whole time also. If I wasn't, then I wasnt getting bit.
  21. Head out of HSB at 3pm. Threw a spinner and got bit immediately. Caught a few nice ones... Tried mixing it up and threw top water and got nothing. Then threw a fluke and hooked some skinny LMB. Water temp was 80. Very windy. All and all a great day
  22. Now just to be sure.. The gauge I should be looking at is the Bradley gauge in MO. Correct?
  23. Thanks for report. I haven't go into them like that in a while. Glad to hear some is though. ?
