Beaver is a tough lake John. I actually learned to bass fish in bella vista lakes. Then I came into rogers and started fishing beaver... U can't imagine the shock I had when I realized I had no clue how to "really" fish lol.
thats some tuff fishing J-doc. Well they'll be that much more rewarding when someone lands one. Well at least for me. I've really been struggling the last few weeks.
Thanks for post the video fins. I actually fished Monte Ne yesterday .... I got skunked though. Maybe I need to be more stealthy like u stated in the report. I did see a lot of birds working. I just couldn't buy a bite yesterday.
I'm going to head out this weekend. Hopefully this coming cold front doesn't mess with the bite too much. I love tangling with big striper on light line/rods.
Fins!! Man ur on a roll. I haven't been able to find them big ones in at least a couple of weeks. Great job! Keep it up... About how much do those weigh?
Wow fins, congrats. I went out all day Tuesday without a bite ?. Well I'm glad they're out there. I started getting the feeling that they were all gone lol. Congrats again Fins! Beautiful fish!!!!
I also have the lake master chip but have not set up the off set yet.......So I'm not 100% on this, But I would think they'd use normal conservation pool 1,120 ft msl. So how ever many feet its down that's how many feet to off set. We're at 1,113.0 now. So set offset to -7 maybe. Hope this helps..
Wow that's good info. Thanks fins! Also I can vouch for the cat fish report..... I was trolling flickers looking for whites, when a 25-30 pound flat head cat fish slammed one of the flickers. Heck of a fight.... Unfortunately that's the only thing I caught that day. Didn't get one WB.
I'm sure u r learning a thing or two. I started fishin beaver 5 years ago and I've learned a ton in these few years. But honestly still struggle catching LMB year round. but hey that's half the fun right? Figuring them out!!
Congrats J-doc. Love it when it happens like that. It's like a light switch goes off and everything comes together. I'm not a great bass fisherman either. But I do love the challenge of tryin to figure them out. Every once in a while I get lucky though. Glad u figured them out ?
Went out at 2pm yesterday with lil expectation, since I haven't been out in a while, but did find a great spoon bite... Caught 7 stripers 4 of which were keepers, and several whites. All were caught in 25-30 feet of water in the monte ne area. Don't remember the water temp. 42 I think.
