  1. I’ve been using a 6 foot cast net for 6 years or so now. Finally decided to up grade to a bigger net. Watching Vinsott throw his 10 footer really put a fire under my butt to go bigger. I haven’t got the chance to use it on the lake bit have been throwing it in the yard. I’m really happy so far. The coverage is crazy big difference. I’ll still be throwing the 6ft aound buck brush, trees and what not, and will use the 10ft for open water situations. Really excited to how much faster I can get the shad I need
  2. Nice walleye! Well done for a short trip.
  3. No i didnt get out yesterday. I may get out this evening though.
  4. Hahahah 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂!! Swim bait lol. Fish are moving a bunch. I’ve been running umbrellas a lot lately. Maybe ur right though. It’s a “ unidentified fishing object” lol.
  5. Thank you. I feel like I’m getting the hang of it for sure.
  6. My brother got one and a smaller one yesterday. I landed one and broke one off for the first time. Only have the pic of my brother with his big one.
  7. Had the pleasure of fishing with Vinsott Friday. Had a great time and the fishing was pretty good too. Ended up catching 6-7 stripers and a white or two. It was a beautiful day, not too cold and the wind wasn’t terrible. We caught the fish in a variety of ways. Got them on umbrellas, spoons and brooders. Water temp was 49-51 degrees. All we had to do was find the bait and we got into them. The action wasn’t hot and furious but a steady. All fish were caught south of the bridge. Good luck out there fellas stay safe

  9. The top water bite has finally slowed down early last week. It’s a shame sense I love catching them that way the best. All fish now are being caught on down lines 20-40 feet down. Stripers are really on the move now with colder water temps. Temps are 53-50. I caught a 4 today, 1 yesterday, 2 Saturday. Just find the bait and the fish shouldn’t be to far behind. Good luck out there guys. Stay safe.
  10. Exactly. I couldn’t open palm slap one without getting 9 hooks in my hand.... and pencil poppers only have 6 hooks
  11. It seemed to help the bite today. Good fishing out there today. Got a few whites and some stripers. Tomorrow will most likely be tough though. Probably be better by the weekend though.
  12. Sounds like a great day. Reading ur reports gets me excited to get back on the water. I haven’t been out sense last week Friday and dieing to do so. I may shoot up to Indian creek and see if I can put a hook in one of those striper. This incoming front my shut them down though. We’ll see
  13. Nice trophy.
  14. Thanks for the report. Top water is the funnest way to catch them IMO
  15. I’ve got a double fluke rig set up on the boat now. Waiting on the wife to get back from Cali so I can test it on Striper. I’m sure it’ll work.
  16. Very cool. I went with a guide down the Arkansas river in Colorado about 8 years ago. I floated the royal gorge area. Was very cool. Got to do some great white water in VA about 5 years ago. I did the upper and lower Gually and the upper and lower new river...... Is that a pic of the kings river in AR? That’s a great float if so. Not much for white water but a great over night and fishing river. I’ve always done the marble to rockhouse RD float. I do in about 3 days. Great way to get back to The basics of fishing. I plan on floating the current river again next year. I’ve done a 80 mile trip once there and really want to go back and float a 100+ miles. Really wanting to break triple digits. Not any whiter water on the current either but it’s nice to float/camp for 10 days and just really get away from it all. I never was a pro leve guide like yourself but I do love to float. What part of the Arkansas did u guide.
  17. He’s a great guy. Probably the only guy I know personally that fishes as much or more than me.
  18. Yes sir. Got it in September, but just got it rigged with TM and graph in the pasted few weeks. Still missing my graph on the TM but I don’t need it now sense I’m striper fishing. Will have it in spring for bass fishing though.
  19. I’ve been telling myself to try a fluke for top water striper for years. I just never have. Bet it would be killer though.
  20. Nice Wallie Quill. Thanks for the report. Interesting that the Striper are still up that far north. I’ve always kinda had a feeling that some never left though. I’ve heard guys catching them in the point 6 and RB area also. I’ve been getting them from point 10 to point 12. Sounds like they’re scattered throughout the lake.
  21. Sounds like a good day. Thanks for sharing.
  22. I’ve used them. They work good. Shad are just easier to catch for me. Not that chubs aren’t easy to catch, it’s just going and them and bring them home and keeping them till I go is too much trouble for me.
  23. Yes sir, they know theyre dad climbs mountains to skie, rivers to white water and calm water to fish. We throw a couple of hawg hunts in the mix. But the outdoors is something those boys never for get.
  24. I’ve caught some monsters in Maine btw way. 40 inchers off the coast of Portland Maine
  25. I sure will Johnsfolly! Thank you again.
