  1. Never used them. Place N of KC has them on sale for 3.99. Compare at 19.99( their ad). Saw many guys buying them, just curious if anybody here has used them, etc.
  2. Neat. Who did you have mount it?
  3. Thanks. I should have mentioned that I do not want to E-bay, was curious if I could find a dealer in the Ozark's. Like the guys you see at the gun show with the bins of gun parts. Fishing lure shows?
  4. So I spent the day watching the race and cleaning reels. I have a bag full of older, broken, outgrown etc. reels that I need to do something with. Some would be just for parts, some I might want a part for, some I tried to repair and can't remember what parts go where... Any links for part buyers, sellers, repair guys? I hate to just throw them away.
  5. I know that they watch it in Arizona and Michigan. I just explained Youtube to them, now I have to explain viral...
  6. Thanks for the link! Signed up.
  7. Very nice! Not as nice as that keeper yesterday.
  8. Thanks all of you. I will be a test dummy!
  9. Wrench you wouldn't believe what we "used" to catch them on in Michigan. Those days are over. Cheapest line we could buy, looked like rope. Just want a good idea of what to get for Lilleys dock fishing. I run 4 Maxima, my pals from Michigan need to replace the rope. Thanks Ham Joe Griz, I just want to give them a heads up. Any other tips?
  10. Mr. Ham Could you expand on that? Length of leader, etc. Why not use the Nanofil 6 or the P line Cx alone? Is the coated P Line different? Probably the first of many silly question I have, been trout fishing for 45+ years and I didn't realize how much I didn't know. Thx.
  11. Well done. How about that pro fisherman that flew by? Looks like a great day.
  12. Wow! That's why I leave Michigan in the winter.
  13. Need some suggestions. Have a trip planned last of March with 4 guys from Michigan, one with COPD. We will be staying at Lilleys but they have mentioned fishing the big lake. Is Dewey Short an option? Any other ideas?
  14. Nice report guys, I also took advantage of Phil's generous offer earlier this year and had a great time Phil congratulations on the new granddaughter!
  15. I agree, it's a great way to escape for a few minutes. I enjoyed watching Duane and Phil tape a few segments last month, they make it look easy. I'm already shopping for a new pole for my 7 day trip end of March!
  16. Just a quick hello. I'm a new member from Northwest Missouri / Northern Michigan. I've spent many days on the various Ozark streams, lakes and rivers over the years and after a recent stay at Lilleys I discovered this site. Wish I would have earlier. I grew up in Michigan about 10 minutes from the Manistee and Ausable rivers and have chased brookies, bows, browns and salmon all over with spinning gear and when nobodies looking I get out the fly rod. Every once in a while I trick a few, my goal this year is to unlearn my bad form/habits, practice my knots and get a good pair of glasses (tuff getting old) I have a trip booked back to Lilleys end of March for a week, if you see a chubby 53 year old tied in knots with a fly or three stuck in him stop and say hello, my name is Nick.
