  1. Thanks for the post. Be cool to go down for the final stage day. Does Watson get to launch from his house?
  2. This is not the place to post this. These guys are to lure savy for this type of post.

  5. that same philosophy could be said about alot of things in life. For example, those with fancy suits say we are all born with cancer cells, but it’s a crap shoot if those inside of you ever activate. The more i read about this deer stuff, the more i call BS.

appears to have been alot of work, hoping to catch someone in your trap. It would suck if your mom forgot those spikes were hidden in the grass. She gets on her rear motored riding mower, makes her first pass along the road, and BAM, hits those spikes, which in turn shears off one of the mower blades, sending it thru the window of the house, hitting your dad in the face, causing him to drop the bacon he was munching on, which then led to him getting upset at your mom, because that was the last of the bacon, and he wasn’t going to eat that piece, because it had blood on it from hitting him in the head. All for a silly game of “who can we get with my homemade getup”.

They leave that up to landowners
  9. I didn’t see you in one of those chairs?
  10. Man, I crank that song riding my Harley down the highway. Speaking of that, good tune to listen to while I cook “CWD” infused venison tacos.
  11. Not as much that, as it is the money the states pour into the pockets of those so-called biologists
  12. So, since you strongly think Ted is uneducated to the point he shouldn’t be speaking on the topic, then where I can find the information you read that says he shouldn’t be listened to?
  13. That’s your opinion or fact?
  14. The less informed or uneducated would have a problem with it. Glad you’re neither of those.
  15. Gotta say it, between the experiences, knowledge, and fact gathering, it would be hard to debunk ol’ Ted or Dr. Kroll.

Some of you say the wildlife are owned by the state, then i just read that they belong to the public. As i stated, the honest will do honest things. With that said, if i choose to be honest, and follow game laws, that is my choice to do so, just as well as if i were to decide to do as the Amish do. No-one would/could stop me. I spent many years enforcing the laws of this state, and a database with my name on it is a give-me. There is no hiding on that end. Thread was started as a rambling to get opinions, which obviously there are a few, as well as a few laughs, which wrench provided, as always. So....If i hit a deer with my vehicle, who is writing the check, since these animals roaming, belong to you?

Don’t you have carp to catch? Who’s to say it isn’t paid off? And, what would you know about anything hunting related?

Not a single one of these things comes into play in any way, in regards to my property. I think the issue here has been lost since I posted. I could care less about who tracks what. My issue “use that term lightly” is on my property. Not anything to do with being in public. So if I own the land, I should be able to harvest the animals that cross it, or live on it, without being required to give any info to a state agency. Someone posted about the MDC basically restocking deer in the 30’s. That is a far fetched conclusion, as it is possible the deer today, came from Kansas/Arkansas/ioaw, Illinois stock, as they know no boundaries.

A deeded piece of property with my name on it would prove your words wrong, as well as the legal system. Because it is mine, i can sell it, pass it down, trade it, donate it, etc. Yes it is mine as long as im alive.

Farm tags are granted per size of property. More land, more tags. I have never filled them all, nor my purchased tags. I eat tags every year.

Tuesday, my neighbor, who between him and his sister, own the 850 acres that borders my 126, on 2 sides. We got to chatting about a neighbor kid he let’s hunt his property. He stated “I let him hunt on my farm tags, because I don’t hunt myself, and those deer eat out of my cattle feeders daily, so I’m feeding the deer on my property, and that grain cost me money that those deer are eating”. I have owned the appropriate sized land to get farm tags for at least 20 years, and think I have got those tags maybe 4 times. I buy tags because i hunt on friends land as much as my own. I have never blinked an eye about buying tags, because I hunt land other than mine. If I chose to hunt only my land, and not a single penny from any state agency goes towards the specific deer on my property, nor my property, then why do I need a tag from a state agency? Anyone know how I can get my share of MDC monies for the damage, feed, etc. that the “state” owned deer cause? Or the insurance rate hike from hitting a few with my vehicle while on state roadways? If they belong to the state, shouldn’t the state be required to pay for any and all damages they cause?

I would agree with that statement, IF: The state, in ANY way, has spent a single penny towards those deer that roam my property, and my neighbors properties. I have never understood the argument “these deer belong to the state” That is a crock of crap. They spend money on public areas, not my property. I don’t need, nor want their help with maintaining my property,, therefore I don’t want to be forced to be in a program that keeps track of “private” deer on my “private” property.
