  1. WHAT?!!!!! No more 12" fish? The shows going down hill now.!!! ?
  2. Just seen a FB live with Aly. Their in Hot Springs for the next few days. Anyone know what lake? Said the shows will air in Jan.
  3. Boy were the pleasure boaters out in force yesterday in that dangerous high watered lake. Took a few waves that woke me up from my nap when i was fishing, because if i was catching, i wouldnt have been sleeping.
  4. Vernon, No issues at all launching from the lot. The issue with Corp ramps tho, is they gate off the road to the ramp/parking areas so thats a no-go. Private ramps would be no issue tho. I had a 16' jon boat with a tiller 25 for years that seen more grass/mud launching than it ever thought about seeing pavement areas. A guy can get away with that with a 4x4 truck and light boat. But that ends with heavy glass rigs. Mill Creek wont be a far run back to Indian if you need a launch point for the week.
  5. Drove around checking ramps last evening. Aunts is closed.
  6. Same here. Somebody has to donate for someone else to win. You won the last one, so your time to donate.
  7. Decided to move the tournament to Mill Creek as Aunts Creek and Indian Point are closed. Same date and times. Thanks.
  8. Boy was the Corp lady wrong. Indian Point is not open. They have the road closed off. Mill Creek is in good shape and thats where our tournament will be out of Saturday.
  9. We have changed the location for the tournament due to Aunts Creek not open. The new location is Mill Creek. Checked out the area today, and tho the water is high, there is still parking for several rigs. Contacted Mo. Water Patrol who is going to change location. Hope to see you there.
  10. Not with fishing, but for finding a new tourney launch location, yes. Decided to check area ramps instad of taking the boat out. New tournament location is Mill Creek.
  11. Haha. Very possible. Put nitros on it and they can laugh all they want, when you leave them in the dust.
  12. Haha. Remember the strap on cup holders for bicycles, there ya go. I posted it in a few groups Fly. These actually belong to my buddy that passed away recently. I sold their camper, got their boat sold "their picking it up tomorrow", and these are the last of the goodies. Neat carts that run about 11 mph. May keep one for myself to check the mail with "mailbox is 60' from front door", or to stroll around the neighborhood making the retired people jealous that a young wipper snapper like myself has one.
  13. I was fishing Pomme about 10 years ago in my Ranger. Put in at Bolivar Landing, made a left to head up the river. About a mile up, the river makes a hard left. As i was passing that shallow point on the left, i noticed a HUGE tree, probably 2 1/2 to 3' across and about 40' long coming out from that point and only a few inches sticking out of the water. I made a mental note for my return trip back that way. I fish up river 6 hours or so and was running about 50 when i noticed that tree, with no time to do anything but pull it into neutral hold on. Hit that sucker at almost 50 and when my lower found it, yea that wasnt pretty. 10 years ago and can still feel my butt puckering.
  14. Man Champ we must have been born from the same mold. Ive gotten a little finger fatigue the past few days speaking my case in regards to still being able to fish, without dying or killing anyone in the process. The lake is fishable, as we see guys posting their outings, with good success. Common sense goes a long way, and will still surprise you if you let your guard down if your not careful. Looks like we are going to have a good group for our open tourney Sat. Not sure yet if Aunts will be open, but if not i will move it to Indian Point. Get out there and have fun guys.
  15. I have 3 Eagle Cruiser golf carts. These are electric single person carts. They are in like new condition and ready to go. I can answer any questions you have. New these are $3000.00. They have a bag rack on the font to secure your golf bag. You can play 2, 18 hole games on a single charge. Rechargeable batteries that comes with the charger. These can be used in a warehouse, farm, school, anywhere where you want a quiet, easy to get around cart. Pretty set on my price as they are priced almost 1/2 of what we paid. Comes with manuals. Info in pictures.
  16. Great reason to buy aluminum. ?
  17. lots of ways around that delima. Canoe out to boat
  18. Single blade huh?
  19. Also noticed the CO. blade on the spinner. Guys need to notice that.
  20. Nice outing. Those are good fish for being so soon after the rise in water. Where did you launch at and fish?
  21. Great info rps and Bill. Never tried that stop and let boat slide up trick, but it sounds like a doable trick. I pull with an F-250 and for the past few weeks, including last week at Rockaway on Taney, i have had to walk my truck step, climb into the bed, on to the bumper, then into the boat. Same when taking boat out. Need to launch from steeper ramps i guess, but my feet stay dry.
  22. Hes correct all you stupid people. Get off the darn water and quit doing stupid stuff. Not only is it stupid to launch, but its stupid to think you can find decent water were theres actually fish with abnormally high water. So all of my other posts about just go fish, delete those and listen to this smart guy.
  23. Same here. Im going to go out tomorrow and try to swing a few in the boat. As of now i would think that the numbers are still backed off a bit, but it doesnt take long with sun to get them up tight.
  24. Looking south from Springfield, the skies look nice. As of here not much so far. Lots of banging tho.
  25. Didnt get her name. That was the info given as of this post. Not sure if the Corp has employees checking status of these things, or if they rely on locals to tell them. I do know that what one person might say isnt launchable, another will back their boat down and fish. Im of the latter type. A week ago i pulled into Cape as 2 others were sitting in their trucks. I backed down to a little debris washed up on the ramp, slowly backed in, launched and did my thing. One of those guys "Kansas with a Ranger fishing a cop event out of Topeka i believe" walked over and mentioned that they had a tourney and the ramp wouldnt work. Well it did for myself.
