Thanks Fly. If that time ever comes to put up the gun and bow, it will be to sit on the porch swing and spend the days dreaming. Even when im fishing, im looking for deer near the shoreline. Andy send me your brothers number. I need to hollar at him. Johns, when i bought my license this year, the guy at Nixa Walmart told me i was the 3rd license sold in the state so far. I was there bright and early the day they came out. Last year i waited until Sept. 14 to buy my tags. I feel more prepared in all aspects this season. Nice cam pics there also. I've got a few from last year and 1 from 14' that magazine worthy. I will post me favorite here. Just love the stance of the buck, the natural shadows, the trees, etc. Seth, i cant miss opening weekend, or im in shambles. I have my daughters wedding friday, bass tournament on TR Sat. and church sunday, but i will be in the woods those days also. I do love that magical time between Oct. 20 to Nov. 20. Makes me happy thinking about it.

Checked cameras this morning. Havent caught anything big crossing yet, but have 2 great shooters on the property. Lots of yotes' to thin out also as 3 out of 6 cameras have them day and night. Friday is opening day archery and im as excited as when i had my first kid. Wait maybe even more.

Being an avid bowhunter, maybe even moreso than fishing, it stinks to see this area of the site dead. If your a bowhunter, or interested in getting involved, lets hear from ya. I've been bow hunting 27 years now, and have never missed a season. The peace of being out there, in a stand 18' up when the world wakes up is a sight. That first shootable deer of the year stays with me. With the addition of crossbows, theres no reason anyone interested in archery cant get out. I will be posting my outings in hopes to fire you archers up.

beautiful views guys. Makes a water loving guy jealous.

Just seen Cheese post about water patrol and it peeked my curiosity. How many of you have a lake view from your house? My dream is to have a lake view with a few hundred acres behind it for my cattle and hunting.

Sunday as i was celebrating my sons birthday, we lost my nephews daughter. Little Brooke was just 8 years old. She was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 4, and has had 2 brain surgeries. She has been the strongest little girl on the planet. She would brighten the hardest of hearts with one single smile. What hurts me inside the most is that cancer didnt take her, as she was finally in remission. My nephew is her step dad but has raised her since she was just months old, like his own. Brooke hadnt seen her father in 2 years and her mom let her go visit. While there she was caught between a backing trailer and the house. Really didnt want to share that detail on here, but its important, as we with children/grandchildren at times forget where they are. Theres more to that incident that i wont share, but please keep an eye on those that have less experience. Her service is Saturday and her family could use your thoughts and prayers as they are struggling with it. Thank you

Just seen Edwin on FB live cruising in a 41' 4 outboard boat with KVD riding in the front. Said they are there for a Tracker sponsor demo days. 41' is a pretty big boat.

Looks like Quill took the short straw yesterday. He must have had fishing on the brain when he made his picks. Tons of time for the likes of the big names to do their thing.

Depends on how far your wanting to take it buddy. If its to eventually win enough to step up to fish with the elites, then join a club, get consistent wins there. Start fishing open tourneys and getting in the money often, then join one if the more known circuits and test your abilities. Heck i better stay were im at as i cant even catch a night tourney fish on Stockton.

Its good to read this. When that garbage was going on, i knew that they would cave in to the demands. That type of mentality usually is followed by karma of some type. Thats like letting your 12 year old run your household, and if try to correct them, then they will move out.

Table Rock Buoy Removal and Massive Boat Wakes
Ketchup replied to Browning Guy's topic in Table Rock Lake
Yes that was in th radio ad as well, which i found odd, that ones personal belongings on their own dock. Could be limited, as well as the number of people on the dock. After hearing that part, my thoughts were to make it sound as bad as possible for those uninvolved, to get a simpathy vote. But thats just my take on those small details that were added. -
Table Rock Buoy Removal and Massive Boat Wakes

Driving at 9::30 this morning, i heard a radio ad for this situation on 94.7. I believe it was a realty company or something paying for the ad slot. Good to see it getting spread around. -
Just bass. A few trout were caught, but we try to remain true to the faith, that bass are the only true fish.

After reading thru these posts, im hoping i didnt come across when starting this thread that i was the jealous type. My mind dosnt think that way. Im happy with and for anyone that can make it in this world we live in. For me, riches as in financial mean very little. I have or have had material items that helped myself or my family to make memories, but my real, true happiness comes from seeing one of my children smile or laugh from something i have taught them, or that they have learned themslves. Johnny has done an outstanding job of building a business any of us would be proud to own. I have a few friends that work for his monopoly, and its just a job to them, like most of us have. Im sure they would like more money, better insurance, better days off, etc. but its just a job. Johnny probably has very little to do with these businesses after purchase. He pay guy/gals big money to look after them. I know if i had what he has, i wouldnt have time to worry about business, as fishing and hunting would be keeping myself and my family plenty busy.

We had our club tourney today out of Rockaway. Every boat but 1 weighed fish. Not much as far as weights or size but a few over 3 were caught. Launched at 6am to a beautiful morning. Talking to the guys, most fish were caught on topwater.
