Moving cost are normally around $50 per mile so it's much cheaper finding one near by. Set up cost will depend on your setup cables or mud poles rough water or cove location etc. I went through this 3 or 4 years ago luckily my neighbor 3 houses down was upgrading to a new very large dock and I bought theirs. Permits require modification permit through ameren around $500 give or take a little. The moving set up and permits can add up fast adding over a thousand plus to the cost. My advice would be sell your dock first because where are you going to put it when the new dock comes? Some dock companies will take it as trade towards a new one if it's nice. It was a pain changing docks but once it's all done it is nice. One more thing when looking at used docks make sure electrical is up to code or how you want it. My dock was a bigger pain because the knoband tube running down to the dock had to be redone. The electrical on the dock had to be redone I bought a used dock locker had it added to the side and needed a boat lift so all said and done the used dock I paid 5k for with moving setup permits adding the locker and redoing electrical cost 20k.

Caught 27 off my dock this morning nothing real big but all good eating size. Maybe I need to put the boat in and run jugs with bigger bait for the monsters this was using worms I did most of the fishing but we had enough licenses to keep us legal. Even caught a flathead off a bare hook. Just tossed my droplines in so the kids wouldn't step on a hook. line started moving a bunch a nd had the flathead hooked in the mouth off a baitless hook.

Incredibly nasty in the Niangua arm lots of debris floating down the lake . highest I've seen it in my 5 years of ownership. Chocolate milk for sure

Never sick of hearing it. I tried spinners too no bites

The future looks good for bass fishing. The bite was good this morning along rocky points unfortunately nothing over 15in but I know there are tons of smalls because I threw them all back. Couldn't get a bite on texas rigged worm but ned rig was hot for smaller bass and a bucket full of blue gill to bait my jugs later

Being new to fishing out of the boat can get expensive when all I had was light action crappie poles then bought catfish poles jug equipment now I need rod holders and leadcore rigs for trolling. I trolled for about 20 minutes yesterday with regular pole caught a nice crappie tried going back over the spot I caught but no luck. Getting ready to go toss the jugs out and troll a bit while I watch them

No that is why I replaced my bait caster I spent more time fixing backlashes then fishing with it very frustrating

Couple of catfish caught by my dock on the mouth of LN. Caught lots of fish up this way. Actually haven't made it off the little Niangua yet fishing

Well Mike I was talking myself out of trying for walleyes until you posted. I enjoy many species of fishing. Walleye and hybrids are 2 species I've never caught before and want to try both so if I catch a hybrid while walleye fishing I can check that off my want to catch list too. I'm very unfamiliar with trolling as I've only had a fishing Boat for 3 months now so fishing out of a boat of any kind is relatively new to me. From what I understand you put out 100-150ft of line pick the lure of choice for desired depth and cruise around at around 1 mph is this correct? Do you use the trolling motor or big motor for this? Also how do you hold the rods attach rod holders or just hold them in hand? I just have this picture in my head of me setting on the front running the trolling motor with a pole in each hand as they both get snagged on something pulling me in both directions either snapping lines or tearing my arms off. I'm going down Friday and staying for 9 days and plan on spending a lot of time on the water those 9 days fishing so I would like to try fishing for walleye but don't like doing anything not knowing if I'm doing it correctly or not. I'm ok with not catching fish as long as I know I'm doing it right they just aren't biting or I haven't found the spots but fishing for hours the wrong way with very little chance of success I don't like doing.

I am near the mouth of the little Niangua. I've considered pomme since my boat is on a trailer and pomme is only about 45minutes from me. Kinda want to have an idea how to fish for them before I make the trip. Is a guided trip a good way to learn hands on? I've looked into it and found an inexpensive walleye guide at pomme using their boat and tackle

Good reads thanks. Is trolling the main method of walleye fishing around here? I've watched several tv shows of walleye fishing up north where they throw the worm with a leader but I wouldn't know where to start.

Anyone on here have any tips or tricks for catching walleyes or small mouth bass at loz? I've never targeted either species but have a real interest in learning to fish for walleye

I tried everything Saturday and Sunday morning. Everything caught was off black texas rigged worm. Couldn't get a bite on anything else I tried. Would have limited out both mornnings if 13 inches were keepers everything was shallow on rocks biggest was 17 inches couldn't find any big ones but this weekend was first time I've targeted bass in over 10 years since I've only had the fishing boat for 3 months

everything was caught in dirty water up shallow this morning
