  1. I would like some polarized bifocals for fishing but I know I would drop them in the lake.
  2. I am an industrial maintenance man, I have been wearing bifocals to tie my line and work with small wiring and the like for over 10 yrs. Some locations do not lend themselves well to bifocals so I carried a pair of +2s for junction boxes that are too high or too low. Recently one of our techs suggested getting a bifocal in the top and in the bottom so I did. These are working pretty well for me and my neck. Maybe this will help some of you too. I hate glasses I never had to wear them until I turned 45 and one evening I had trouble tying a jig, no matter what I did I couldn't make myself see the line.
  3. When I see this I think about fish tacos
  4. Is it too early to think about the next trip?
  5. Looks like a little rainbow?
  6. I don't know but I sure would love to have the marinade recipe for those medallions wow really good! I hope they weren't marinated in the vienna sausage juice.😆
  7. I would like the thank Phil Lilly for this forum, without out it I would never have met all of you. I sure hope we can get together again. Thank you sir !!
  8. What a day and a great bunch of people. There were a few of us who where willing to get in a strange van with people from the Internet, but it all worked out. How about the food ! Oh my goodness you all made this gathering way better than I could have imagined ! Here are a few pictures sure wish I could have got a better picture of BilletHead fly fishing, it was so neat, I might have to try that sometime.
  9. I wore a respirator the last time I had to deal with mold like that. Bad stuff
  10. Also I have an extra kayak if someone needs it, let me know.
  11. There was a group putting in at horse creek at 1:30 when we got there. I spoke with my family that floated it last weekend, they said they did some dragging but it wasn't real bad, also they said any fork you come to go left for what that's worth. It's still on as far as I'm concerned. See you all at HL Kerr between 7 and 8 or so. Here are a couple pictures from the Y bridge and Kerr access
  12. Fish should be easy to find😁
  13. So the word is that the river is really low, I am going to run down and check it out, take some pics and check out our transportation. I will let you all know what I find.
  14. Maybe 10 yes I think 1pm bring what you want, I'll bring something too.
  15. It's not that big of a show, I think we will be doing good to have 10 people, 1/2 of which aren't floating, but I think it will be fun. Thank you though maybe next time
  16. I can pitch in some $ if need be
  17. No bbq good try, unless someone wants to volunteer for that.
  18. I figure 1 mph @ 4.25 miles maybe 4 or 5 hrs due to fishing. say we get started at 9 at the latest that makes the take out time 1 pm. @Terrierman might be able to make a better estimate. Meet time 7am hl kerr, unload, drive to cox memorial access galena, shuttle to the launch, start float at the latest 9am.
  19. The time is nearing so I need a count of who is going so I can get the shuttle service figured out. Nothing is set in stone, I would like this to be low pressure, and fun, so don't feel obligated. After going through the thread these are the possible members participating. JDmidwest, Flysmallie, Terrierman, Coldwater Fshr, billethead x2, Phil Lilley, Wounded one, Bass yakker, Mitch F, Yaknar, Dan Hufferd and Wife. So that's 13 If you would like to add or subtract from this list please let me know ASAP. Thank you. Hopefully there is still water in the river, it's been dry !
  20. Does that mean FFS will be cheaper
