  1. Right on !!! Sorry I didn't see this great catch earlier.
  2. I fixed an aluminum canoe with some stuff called NP2 you will find it at your local metal building supplier. I think it is the number one stuff to use. It is a lot like silicone, but very sticky like butyl. You might even be able to use it on the water but it needs to go on the outside. http://www.bestmaterials.com/np1.aspx
  3. We should get together I will help you out, then you can maybe show me some crappie secrets
  4. Don't forget the spoon, it works very well when properly used, you write well, loved it.
  5. I read this same thing somewhere else. These fish are wonderfully odd, spawn like salmon, eat like bass. I guess they fill their own place well enough. I sure wish that they were better spawners. I guess you have experience, do you think these Stockton Lake walleye reproduce without moving water, or maybe they do just not many. What do you think bfishn?
  6. I know you are right. I don't eat bass any more, friend , I was just being honest about my past. Thank you for being civil . I am picking up what you are putting down.
  7. I have met him and fished an area of tablerock with him. He promptly caught a walleye and I got skunked. I should have stayed closer, you can bet if I get a chance again I will.
  8. I would bet, he know more than all of us put together about a great many things. I hope to be able to spend more time with him, asap Have you heard any more from Whiteriver Lures ?
  9. In my younger days I have eaten bass from the creeks, it has been years ago, they were good ! Now I never keep them, but if I know a fish is not going to make it, I will take it home and get some use out of it. I am not against tournaments, they bring many dollars to the communities around the lakes, but I have seen several bass floating after a weigh-in. I thought just take them and eat them. Anyway, thank you all for the info and encouragement it is wonderful.
  10. Still a very large sauger !
  11. Yes, if I can catch one anybody can. It's good !
  12. Sauger over 5 pounds, you are the man...man !
  13. Ask the guy who owns Southwinds Motel. I think he has it. I am sorry I cannot remember his name right now. Super nice guy !
  14. Thanks for sharing that. It makes me hopeful. Did it come from Stockton? If it is local, that is the biggest that I have heard of, other than the state record.
  15. Have you ever seen this company.
  16. That thing is a beast ! I sure hope that there are some big ones still lurking out there. Most of the big walleye stories that I here are old. At least the frequently caught stories are. I do hear of the occasional large walleye, but not many. What a great bunch of information, that you all very much. I am soaking it up, hopefully it will lead to a big fish someday !
  17. Man if that story doesn't make a guy want to chase a trophy walleye I don't know what would ! I feel like Indiana Jones looking for clues to the big treasure. You can bet I will be on the Kings river looking some time this year.
  18. Man, that is sad ! At least you have a memory of him doing what he loved. Sound like a heck of a day ! About the one that got away... knowing how walleye swim, I can just imagine what that big fish looked like swimming away. Wow what a story !
  19. I would have been sick for sure ! I probably would have went in after it !
  20. That is why I like them, and they taste good. Either that or I will have to start eating bass. I drove through Billings today, The bill boards look good ! I told my wife I almost know that guy, but he won't go fishing with me, maybe someday.
  21. Wow what lake, Stockton?
  22. Thank you that sounds very agreeable to me. I guess wondering what to do with a big fish is a good problem to have. I do not have to worry about it yet, but just in case I wanted to be ready. Have you caught many over 26 around here lately?
  23. Thanks, What do you think about this? I figure that there is a possibility of catching a large female full of eggs, maybe a wall hanger. For me that would be a fish near 30 inches, and 8 lbs + rare for Stockton but possible. So what does a guy do? Make a replica, and return the old mother to her home or just hang her on the wall? After a few years it seems like real wall mounts look bad, and video and pictures seem like a great way to remember. I am leaning toward C&R, but I feel like I would be letting a 30 point buck go by.
  24. Thanks John, hopefully we can get together, I myself can only fish about one day a month right now. Work is a paradox for me....no work no lake fishing, too much work no lake fishing. I am thankful for my job ! I am excited to fish with you, it will be a blast !
  25. Yes, just 2 more months, but I can not find my pic's of April so to make my story believable I have to get video of one for April too. It is cool following your target species around for a year. This is year number 2 for me. I did not get one last year in January. I am elated to say the least ! I did take this fish home even though she was full of eggs. I still feel kind of bad. I wonder how many actually reproduce in Stockton?
