  1. The regs seem to be worded in an odd way and open ended. I am not going to say how many walleye are in the freezer. I know several people who live on the lake. They will get several limits in a day and even more in a week. I know that I am not the only person wondering about this. I never see the game warden or I would ask him myself.
  2. You will probably have to load it to youtube then post the link here. Very nice fish, what no coastline??
  3. Daily is 4 possession is 8 for walleye I am still confused sorry
  4. I know this is a dumb question, and I would like to start out by saying that I have never taken home more than my daily limit. What is a possession limit? Scenario... 3 people in the boat all catching walleye, the daily limit for each is four, but the possession limit is eight, how many can you keep 12, 8, 24 ? Can you take some back to your camp site, put them in the cooler and go out for more or are you done for the day? I know I have opened up a can of worms here, I figure there are others in the same boat. I would think you could take 12 home but after reading this I don't know. http://huntfish.mdc.mo.gov/fishing/regulations/possession-and-length-limits
  5. Cool, message me or something and let me know. I can't go it's Easter Sunday Church for me. I think my Sunday school class might be sad if the teacher wasn't there. It is crazy that they would be that deep. They probably come up at night. Some people on Table Rock pick them up on the ned rig. Maybe bounce one of those things around??
  6. They taste like chicken.
  7. I have heard that most are catching them in the rivers right now. I wish I had some 1st hand info I forgot what a walleye looks like, I think they have teeth?
  8. Those are some dandies ! You gave up your fishing spot for us and everything. No really thanks for the post looks like fun. I did not know this but some flicker shads float, and some slowly sink. I was using one as a jerk bait it was working good. .
  9. You need a Holy Cow to go with the wows. Holy Cow !
  10. I have used a zoom green pumpkin magnum finesse worm with a plain old slip sinker and done very well. Last year it seemed like electric plum was the most productive color. I have heard other people picking up walleye on the ned rig, I wonder if they are feeding on crawdads? Thank you for the report.
  11. Looks like a nice hat band !
  12. I pretty much got skunked accept for this kentucky. I caught her on a jerk bait very near Big M. Sorry for the lighting. !7" long and 3 pounds, FAT.
  13. Good old Eagle Claw fiberglass. It is my favorite creek fishing pole. If it breaks I'm out $15. For me creek fish'n all about going on the cheap. Next video might be called "Bass on the Cheap"
  14. No we did not keep any bass. I did not think you could keep them until May 23 from the river or streams ? I used to use Memorial day as my marker for keeping bass for the river and streams, I think squirrel season opens around that too. Floating, fishing for bass, and squirrel hunting all at the same time ! Sounds like a good weekend to me. Any more though I have to admit, these little areas on Spring river I don't keep anything. I want them to be there for the next time. I would like to say this...I have no problem eating bass, that is why God put them there. They are really good from the creek ! I am old enough to remember small spring fed fish farms, very interesting info. I think most are probably gone. There used to be one near Ritchey Mo Trout must have been very popular. I think it would have taken a lot of effort to maintain a population of trout.
  15. I have caught some dandies in places many people fish. I love creek and river fishing ! I think I always will, any stress I may have just goes away. I know most fish are not whoppers, but every once in a while you get a good one. I did get brownie points for the post, but I just love seeing her face when she catches a fish. She is good at working those bass it took 4 casts to get this fish angry enough to finally hang on. Interesting about the trout, I always wonder what was in our Mo. waters before we started messing with stuff. Thanks for the comments.
  16. I had one, my son uses it on his boat now. Make sure the water clarity is set right, and the transducer should be in the water all the time even when up on plane. You will not be able to read the bottom after 30 mph or so. What problems are you having?
  17. Very nice ! Thanks for the post.
  18. I love this kind of terrain that Southeastern Missouri has to offer. In my youth I used to do a lot a backpacking in and around Johnson Shut-ins, that was before the Tom Sauk reservoir broke, very similar looking terrain, well it used to be. I am not a trout/ fly fisher man, but that 1st video makes me think I should explore the sport. Great article !
  19. I love mine I would add to the CONS no read out on the hand held control. I don't have mine wired to the depth finder so I am always looking up front to see if it is on. I have the 80 it will keep two men in a loaded deep v on the spot in a 20mph wind. Not what I want to do but just in case you need it's there.
  20. I take my wife to my favorite fishing hole, and she tried to brake my pole with this 18" bass. A great way to spend a Sunday after church !
  21. No matter how much fishing I do in a lake I think I will always look for little honey holes on the creeks and rivers. I just love this kind of fishing ! Thank you Lord for making all this for me !
  22. Holy cow! She's a dandy !!
  23. I talked to Bud today, he said he sold the live bait portion of his business last year, but he is in very close contact with the new owner, like 3 times a week, so if you call he can hook you up. Sorry for the pun.
