  1. Thanks for the info Mike. Work doesn't really allow me to fish the Tuesday jp's. Night tourneys when the weather gets cooler sounds great.
  2. Thanks for the report. Got a month of hard nights coming I'm thinking. How long do the jackpots run? (The night jp's)
  3. Losing one on a snag ain't gonna set you back any! Nice collection. You open my eyes to possibilities. I've got two or three of a few colors and thought I was set. Maybe not!
  4. There's always something to buy! Women have purses. We have tackle!
  5. Sorry to hear about your equipment Dan. The worst part is that it was probably anglers who noticed the equipment while fishing around your slip. Suckers!
  6. I'm learning from this thread already. I thought you looked for fish right above the thermocline. Makes sense to fish right below it.
  7. Howdy Dan, good to hear that you're getting back on the water. I was trying main lake points last week between fords and rambo. Just randomly throwin without much success. I was told to graph for cover and target that. Not sure if that's helpful or just rambling on my part.
  8. Oh man. Weightless and falling 15 ft? Chair on the deck with some snacks! I've been curious to try something like that around docks now, but thought it was more of a post spawn tactic.
  9. Hey Mike, I thought I seen ya Friday night. A friend and me were up by frods sitting on a point about dusk. I still have a lot to learn. We caught three from 730-12. Little ones. Lol.
  10. Great fish Mike! You have had a real consistent year from your posts on the forum.
  11. Thank you for the info. I need to drag my behind out of bed earlier and get it done.
  12. Thanks Ryan. I appreciate the input!
  13. Advice or tips are appreciated.
  14. Launched from rocky branch by 730. I wanted to get there earlier, but didn't make it. I used the ramp back in the cove so when I was idling out I decided to hit the east bank because it was still shady. Tried a sexy dawg and a swimbait. Nothing. Worked out closer to the front and tried graphing some cover and marking it. This is fairly new to me. I've been with a guy and watched him do it once and seen some on you tube. Setting up the casting rings and positioning the boat was taking up more time than anything. I was throwing shakey head around the cover. The cover was rock mostly. Got a few nibbles. Tried around the island across from rb and a couple of pockets off the main lake. Shot back into rambo and tried the steep points at the back with the shakey head and throwing a crank in about 17-19. I got hooked up once and it got off at the boat. Little one. It was a pretty day and there were a ton of boats out, so it was a chore to stay on a spot. Water temp stayed around 84. I called it at 2. I didn't find em yesterday that's for sure. Just keep hammering right?
  15. Great fish!
  16. A buddy and me fished in the river both nights starting with the topwater and then switching to spinnerbaits after dark. Didn't get a single bite on the top. Maybe the water was to stained? Threw a buzzbait a little with no better result. The blades worked pretty well though. Just covered alot of water. Caught my pb Friday night. 4.96 lb according to the scale. We finished up by 1130 and was leaving by midnight. About 2 minutes ahead of the rain. Sat night, we threw the jig and the worm some around docks and then beat the banks some more. Not much of a sack to weigh, but still a fun night. Seen 83 degree water temp Friday night but sat it only dipped to 84.
  17. Keep us posted Robert. I appreciate your effort.
  18. Thats terrible to hear. I would throw in $25. Is there a collection bowl at hook, line, and sinker?
  19. Just joined up a little while ago. What happened to Vinsott?
  20. Daggone. Definitely more of a grind last night. I'm hoping by Friday they'll be more shallow with all the rain. Sounds like you were right in the race though. Slow night for everyone.
  21. How'd things go last night Mike? Prob gonna head to HC Friday night and get rained on.
  22. Well sir, I caught two that would've weighed. Lost a couple. It was a slow night, but I'll take it over getting skunked. Did you get your trolling batteries fixed up?
  23. Cool man. I'm pumped. 1st competition.
  24. I'm fishing the jp tmrw night. I've got a 99 champion that's black/red. If you see me, come say hey. My name is Brian.
  25. Thanks Mike. I'm off on Fridays so that's when I try to hit it. My thinking is that the fish are more or less calmed down from the previous wkd. And less boat traffic.
