it gives the fish a better chance at surviving as well compared to being released after weigh-in and lessening the chances of dead fish when u catch, picture, then release. I enjoy fishing and love to eat fish but im getting to the point of just catching more for fun.
I have never been on the James river and was wondering where i could acquire a map to show me the river as well as the put ins and take outs from springfield lake down to table rock

not sure but its most common at other lakes so wouldnt be suprised, but if there is an abundance then the 1in probably wouldnt make much difference.
I fish pomme alot of times and they have a 9in length but seems very rarely i ever have to measure unless its in the spring otherwise most fish i catch are over 10in easily
