Well Im gonna try to get down to Taney Friday morning if it's not raining . The weather looks okay in the AM but chances for rain are greater late morning into early afternoon . Im gonna leave Aurora around 4:30 am and be there about 5:45 am . I will see any of you there if your down there , Ill be driving a newer red Ford Escort

Are we gonna do this and should we all start planing now ? Last years was great and this one could possibly be just as good if not better . New Years day falls on a monday this year

I know this is a older thread , But i have a Orvis battenkill mid arbor 2 reel , Its seems to work great and will possibly be the only reel i ever own Greg from this forum has givin me 2 rods he custom built . they are both awesome My wife Tami uses a Cabelas brand reel and a custom rod built by Greg aswell We both started with a Shakespear Combo (walmart)

Bass Pro in springfield sell Seal Skin brand waterproof socks and also I think they are Simms wading socks . I am wondering which would be better for Fishing in at Taney when its hot outside , I cannot stand the though of putting my waders on during a hot humid day

WOW !!! I do have to say that Leonard certinaly earned every bit of respect he has . He has always been very willing to help my wife and I during fly fishing or spin fishing , and even our son . I am glad to see this thread has also turned out happy . Hey Leonard send some of the PMS to Phils shop and Tim's fly shop , I need to spend my unemployment checks somehow

Twhit it would of been nice to meet you and your family aswell , The weekend at Phils was awesome . Tami , Devon and I had a great time as we always do when at Phils . I just want to again thank Phil and his staff for giving us a must needed GREAT weekend

I can't do this anymore , this job is not rewarding anymore and its wearing thin . Please pray for me . I am listening and i know the lord will guide me . hopefully i am not to sleepy to realize he is showing me a new direction

If everything goes well , I am planning to attend tonight , Man i miss fishing and this stupid thing called work has sure gotten in my way . Im thinking of a job change , I have worked almost 104 hrs this week , The past 6 weeks i have averaged 96 to 121 hrs per week , ahhhh the joys of being a salary employee . I have really dedicated my self to my job , even though i am paid very low , But the good lord above provides me this so i can take care of my family and that i do . not really asking anyone but if you hear of anything fishing related please PM me Ps i dont mind driving to work of any distance for a good job , good pay and benefits nothing is too far Hopefully i will see some of ya tonight ~Ducky~

Howdy everyone , Yes Tami and i have been missing in action for a bit and not fishing as much as we would like . Both of us have been busy with our jobs and preparing for the new Duckling , Ive been working almost 100 hrs a week for the past month and i have to say IM tired . We have opened another store , this one is in Republic and is doing pretty well . Anyways just wanted to say hi , I think i actully have the day off today and tommarow , So i might try to fish some . Not sure though

Greg I also enjoyed fishing with you and your wife today . My fishing was okay also , lots of people though . caught and landed a few , But missed a bunch more . Jeremy's egg pattern worked well for me untill i lost it!! . Rusty midge and also zebra midges about 3' deep worked well also . After , Fishing i drove around the lake towards Forsythe , Its really sad , the lake its self looks to be in bad shape from all the moss , Now will all this moss from Taney settle at Powersite ? Or will it continue its way into bull shoals ? It sickens me . Also i have one more thing to add . This is a great forum , We have the most caring and friendly people aboard . I find it really sad also that people get their feelings hurt from a internet forum , Guys and gals Cmon lets let the politicans argue and slam each other . Everyone is entitled to there opinnion , and if you type it here there might be a consequense . But i dont think arguing in "Type" is real grown up !! However while fishing yesterday i did see some REALLY FAT FISH , And i hold this thread responsible for over-weight fish , FISH MORE the Taneycomo trout need a work out !!!

Well it seems my staff i have running our stores like their jobs now and do a pretty go job . This is very welcomed and i might be able to get back to fishing
