  1. They're running 6400 through turbines and 9600 over the top. Why? I have no idea.
  2. I am surprised like everyone else to have gotten an email this morning about the corps opening nine floodgates this morning at 10 AM. There has not been any reports of anyone seeing any shad yet. And it’s taking a while for all the debris to wash out, but we should see some good fishing in the next few days.
  3. Tony Weldele is a good one too. But all listed are great guides.
  4. Looks like we're going to get our wish. Pretty big rain over the next 4 days centered on the 3-state line. Should be pretty gradual but we'll see. Creeks and rivers will be shut down for a while. For Taney, hopefully we'll see more generation. Babler reports seeing very little green slim in the dam area on TR so hopefully that means less moss flowing this spring.
  5. Back again yesterday evening. LS showed 75% less whites and they still weren't interested. I caught a nice male on my 2nd cast on a blue rebel and thought, "it's on!", but it wasn't. I give up on BS whites. I'll be going to Table Rock and catching smallies in the coming days.
  6. Fished the last 3 hours of the day today. Boated up and saw allot of whites on live scope but only one taker on a minnow. I’m sure they are spawning. Water temp 59-60.
  7. My dear friend, Rolan, passed away a few weeks ago. He was 92 years old and enjoyed good health up until he was 91. I met Rolan the first year we bought Rosadaro resort in 1983. We fished many hours on Lake Taneycomo as well as traveling the country fishing different destinations. He taught me to tie flies. He’s most most famous for his peppy scud. Peppy was their pet Shih Tzu. Rolan used his hair along with other dubbing to create a gray dubbing for his scuds. His technique was unique and has proven to be a favorite for our trout. One thing I am sure you do not know is he was really big into soapbox derby with his boys. One of his sons, David, won the whole thing back in 1988. Rolan also was Director of the soapbox derby for a number of years. Besides being an avid angler, he was a great golfer, still shooting his age a year before he passed. I will miss my fishing buddy. But we will meet again!
  8. Naw- the pic thing is me.
  9. I Like It!
  10. We put in at River Run about 6 tonight. Headed to the dam and fished up there for quite a while. They were running water and there was good current. I thought the whites would be pretty active but I really don't think they're up there in big numbers. Saw a few caught on the Powersite side off the bank. We finally moved down about 1/4 mile and fish the high mud bank and caught 4 very big sow whites with eggs and 2 crappie. Greg caught one pushing 3 pounds. I'll weigh it tomorrow before cleaning them. Caught on purple swimming minnows. Video tomorrow.
  11. I had 2 hours to kill before a meeting in Forsyth yesterday so I put in at Beaver about 4:30. Headed up in Beaver and found nothing. Up to the Johnson Flats and saw nothing. Heard there were whites there the other day. On the way back I stopped and fished a small inlet creek that had some rock banks well up in the creek. 8 foot deep. Caught 7 nice crappies before I had to head back. BUT I went back after the meeting and almost finished the limit before dark. Swimming minnows, smoke. All spawned out.
  12. This one has taken off... 420,000 views and counting. Crazy. I think Wesley's short is so much better.
  13. We ended up with 16 crappie. 62 WT
  14. I didn’t run ads for almost a year, only some banner ads for my business. I turned them back on a few weeks ago. I don’t do ads on YouTube. One cast. Only OAF. It pays its way.
  15. STL would be hard to get seats all together though. KC wouldn't.
  16. Hey should we do a OAF day at the ball park this year? If so, what park? St Louis would be fun but Springfield is more practical. Or both.
  17. Fubo - I guess some games are blacked out. If you get MLB package, are any blacked out? I wonder if I can cast it to my TV?
  18. I’m still undecided whether I want to spend the time and money. Time more than anything. You can do allot of things for 2.5 hours instead of watching baseball.
