  1. I'm not finding your fb page. What's it called?
  2. Quentin loves crappie. Did he have a rod in the boat?
  3. Ding... You got me. I haven't wetted a line in almost a week. Unit remodel is officially done. Our NAIA team lost yesterday after winning 2 games in the NATIONAL tournament, first ever for Friends University - big congrats! Got a big week this week at the resort- almost full everyday with lots of boats to go out but I should be able to get out AFTER this rain stops. Yep I'm way overdue for a report. Thanks buddy. Zing!
  4. I honestly think it's all up to the angler if he does well (and of course the fish) with PJ's, Zig Jigs or any other lure or bait. It's what you're confident in or what's available to you. The hooks are different too. I seldom have a fish pull off using PJ's but they have. Could have been the hook could have been me or just didn't hook them well enough. I have had them pull lose from a snag and bend on me. I actually kinda like that. I have not used ZJs at all so I can't attest to their hooks. I'll have to rely on others saying they are a better hook. That's why they're a little more expensive probably. Good debate.
  5. Yea Roark has been a hot spot for a couple of weeks. Rainbows.
  6. Just so everybody understands... I'm NOT expecting fishing reports posted tomorrow for today... except DD.
  7. Pansy... this is YOUR kind of weather. Ducky AK Doty
  8. PJ Jig, brown/orange 1/8th ounce.
  9. Brian- is there a site I can direct people to?
  10. That's pretty cool... never heard of double cousins.
  11. Ducky Doty has posted a report the last 3 days with pretty detailed info.
  12. What's a "double cousin"? Or do I want to know???
  13. I'll bite... Who's Craig Fuller?
  14. All I'm sayin' is there should be more "general" fishing reports with all the people who frequent the site. I appreciate those who do post - very much. Thanks.
  15. PJ's, and I believe ZJ's, have flat sided heads with one side (only) that's slanted which makes them drop a little funny. Pj's heads are not lead. They're some kind of substitute. Ham make be able to tell you what ZJ's are made with.
  16. Clipping: Reply from hatchery manager- We have not clipped any rainbows since I have been here. However, we have clipped the adipose fins on triploid “brown trout.” We have clipped pelvic fins on brown trout for other streams but not Taneycomo. Clint Hale Actually before Clint arrived to Shepherd, they clipped the pelvic and adipose fins to determine age.
  17. I sell 15,000 marabou jigs annually. I use twice that many...
  18. Yes there's a 10-inch limit on crappie on Table Rock Lake. 15 daily and 30 possession limit. The area DD is fishing, although called Flat Creek, is still Table Rock Lake. I'm sure at some point up in the creek there's a line that changes from "lake" to "creek" in which the limit will change to the general Missouri rule which is no length limit and 30/60 crappie BUT you better not ~catch~ in the creek and ~transport~ out on the lake cause it is ~possession~ that is the rule. You could not prove you caught those short crappie in the creek when you have them on the lake. Anyone know where that line is?
  19. From this week too. Another group...
  20. I call them creek chubs, whether that's what it is or not They're all around my dock.
