Shoal creek Has Smallmouth,Goggle eye, Laregmouth, and spotted bass. I bet what I caught were meanmouth (spotted bass/smallmouth) with red eyes. Love going down there and getting a mess of goggle eye. They are delicious!
My fishing partner and I decided to take our daughters out after school to catch some crappie. We had 7 keepers, 4 white bass, and 5-6 small largemouth. Caught some on jigs some on minnows. Got on the lake at about 4:45 and left at dark. Girls had a blast and both caught fish! Really wish i lived closer to the lake. The hour drive gets kinda old but is almost always worth it.
Went out on Saturday with my grandpa. wind was awful! Could not stay on any of my crappie spots for long. did manage 7 keeper Crappie and 4 Large mouth. Still a fun day with my grandpa. Put in at Roark. water temp was 45ish
Saw some guys a while back catching a bunch of fish at Greenfield access from the bank. Catching crappie and white bass on both sides of the bridge on minnows with a bobber. Good luck. Let us know how you do.
Thank you all!! I am one lucky guy. I think I am going to hit it again on Saturday. Going with my Grandpa who taught me to fish. Seeing things come full circle.

Tried out this recipe the other day on some crappie I caught on stockton on new years eve.... Guys i am telling you this might be the best crappie I have ever eaten. The wife and kids couldn't get enough!!!
A little late posting this but, I caught my limit on new years eve on birch creek. Caught all on a blue ice Bobby Garland. Couple of fish were close to 13 inches. Fun but cold time!
