  1. Put in at Aldrich yesterday evening. Fished from 6-9:30pm water was 54 and a little dingy. Had 9 total with 4 keepers. Didn't have a keeper under 11". Action was slower than I anticipated, took a couple day off this coming week so I hope it picks up.

yes by our calendar, but the water temp has not been consistent and really up until last week it has been in the mid to high 40's. fish that live and stay in/on the main lake act differently than the ones that live in the river. I personally have not been any farther south than Roark this year so I don't know what the temp has been in the rivers need Greenfield or Aldrich, I would think those river fished have spawned but who knows with this weather.
  3. Possibly going up to Pomme next week, and wasn't sure if there is place to get minnows/shiner's between Willard and Bolivar Landing???
  4. Good example... I have a friend that owns a hotel/lodge and Guide service on Stockton. They have 10 rooms at their place. so far this year he's seen about half the business he had this time this year. The weather is some of the issue, but the other issue is that arguably the 2 biggest team tournament series are NOT coming to Stockton this year. (Heard its due to the ramp and parking fauclities) He's not the only one, he's spoke to other businesses in the city of Stockton area and there down too. Why are they down it's because guys that would have been making trips to the lake to practice multiple times up until tournament day aren't coming and spending that money this year. A place like the City of Stockton is a good example of what tournament fishing does to boost the local economy and keeps food on the table for families. There are only so many rooms in the Stockton area to go around and when these series come to the lake most if not all of these get filled because MOST of the fisherman are from out of town and HAVE TO book rooms, and when they book rooms they eat at locally owned resturants because in city like Stockton most everything is locally owned and the $$$ goes straight to the local people and in the local school system. Rant over have a nice day and good luck on the water! One last thing, on the stocking of TR. I 100% believe if Johnny Morris wrote the MDC a check for $3 million towards the stocking of Texas largemouths and California spots in the lake they would start Monday at dawn.
  5. That BIG BASS of the tournament was a GIANT!!!!! https://joebassteamtrail.com/04-08-18-stockton/
  6. tooooooooooooooooooooooo late
  7. when we left second was 21 something but someone else may have been holding a bag until the last minute to weigh.
  8. I fished Joe Bass yesterday and that was an UNREAL sack Jay and Troy brought to the scales!!!!! They put it on all of us , when Jay Carter is on fish at Stockton.... LOOK OUT he's going to kick the field in the teeth!!!
  9. Dan thanks for the interest! The 2-hour registration time is more less for me to make sure I can get everything done that we can. I've never been on this side of the tournament only on the competitor side so I don't know what really to expect I definitely hope not for the last two hours but I gave myself 2 hours just to make sure. With that said this is one of our monthly events that we do with our men in our congregation so they/we decided they would like to have a short speaker and also have somebody come in and tell the participants more about the charity that the money is being raised for. My realistic is to have everything done by 8:30.
  10. Hope to have you! I really feel we will meet the 20 boats, I have had a really good response via Facebook on it. This will be my first time putting the promoter/director hat on. When I was approached about doing this I couldn't say no!
  11. Having a benefit crappie tournament in June. Here is the Flyer.
  12. good way to kill some time congrats! How much had the water come up from your last trip out?
  13. what tournament was that? awesome job !!
  14. Hope this helps a little the blue line is about where I run from high point to Aldrich, it's not exact but close. The red dots are about there the visible tress run and the red circles are hazard areas where you may need to idle a bit. If you fish down there when the crappie and whites really turn on you can watch where everyone runs, it will the same line by everyone going through there.
  15. It's tricky but you can go All the way back into turkey Creek same with Maze. When the water was a couple feet above pool during waterfowl season we boated under the bridge into the actual turkey Creek. As far as Aldrich there are a couple spots that u need to idle when going from hight point to the Aldrich bridge, With out showing u on map it's hard to explain the spots.
  16. Put in a Roark Bluff today got on the water about 8:30 fished till about 2pm. Ran down to sons Creek area started to fishing secondary points with 45 degree banks with rock about as big as a football to the size of your fist. Caught the first keeper about 20 minutes into the day ended up having 4 total Keepers with one right under 5 pounds. 7 bass all together. Six Largemouth in one small mouth. Warmest water we found was 48.7 degrees water still has good color with about 2ft of visibility. Ran down the big sac arm for a little bit did not have any bass but did catch one 18 inch walleye on a jerkbait. All the bass came on wiggle warts (green and brown Craw patterns). All the bass were scattered and in 10ft or less. She was the only female all day and the only time we had a double was when I caught her my partner caught a male that we feel was with her. Rest of the Bass where single males. Caught the last fish about 1:45. We felt after we left that if we had been on the water at dawn we would have caught more fish. I think we had some high pressure move in about 10-10:30 and the bite sent south quick on us. Good luck guys if winter would ever let go this year, when it does the fishing for all species are going to explode!
  17. I talked to Kris at Stone Creek Lodge this evening, he got what will be his LAST shipment of the original War Eagle Spinnerbaits in. He got some of all 99 colors/blade combos they make. So if your up there this weekend and need to get some you better stop in. Since Pradco bought them they have changed the swivels and are using a rubber band instead of wire to attach the skirt.
  18. Does anybody have any information about the tournaments that go out of Campbell point on Friday nights? I have a friend who has semi retired and moved to Shell Knob he was told by one of his neighbors that there is a club or a series that takes out of there on Friday evenings? Since his neighbor doesn't fish he didn't have any other information about it.
  19. From Aldrich to the dam. 😎
  20. Amen!!
  21. only other one I came across last night was OMTT but that boat was an end of the year Points deal not a one day or one weekend tournament.
