Me and the wife had fun yesterday just past Mcubbins point on the main lake creek channel. Fishing around main lake boat docks that hung over 20-30 ft of water. I tied on a drop shot and finesse worm for the wife. ( she like that rigging). I tried a 12 inch worm. While I was getting nothing the wife was whacking them. So I changed to a drop shot with a purple finesse worm and began to whack them even better so the wife put on the purple finesse as well and for the rest of the after noon we tore em up. Nothing huge but wow it was still fun getting bit all day long! We put in at Mcubbins point at 2 pm and got off the water at around 6:30 pm. Just a real fun day except for the wind and wake boats but I was prepared for it so still a good day! No pics sorry.

Sounds like yall did pretty good...thats good to here. Are they running any water to speak of?

Anyone fishing down here lately? Just wondering if the bass are active in this area right now. Haven't seen any reports lately. Thanks

Fishings not bad right now..What are you planning on usiing....small marabou jigs are working...olive, black/yellow, White is my personal favorite.

My only problem with Duck Harbor was...I told them I would be coming in late and was bringing my boat and I asked do they have slips available? He said yes we do so I thought ok Ill just show up and untrailer the boat motor over to the dock slip and be done....wrong ...I untrailered the boat, moved it into the slip then my wife yells to me how you getting off the dock...I said hopefully im just walking off....she said not if u aint got a key....they lock their docks all the time and give you a key to use all weekend which is not a bad idea....IF YOU WOULD OF LEFT ME WITH A KEY! lol. So I finally wormed my way around the locked gate and was thinking hows that gonna work when I want to fish at 5:30 in the morn....It didnt !! So I had to worm my way around the locked gate again just to be able to fish that morning...came back around 10 am and went to the office to get the key to the dock.....all in all it was a good cheap place to stay and was clean!!

This was my best one on saturday morn...it came on a loon whopper plopper on the 3rd cast at the mouth of Bull Creek.T

Ya nice to meet a fellow champ owner too!! We didnt catch the quality I was hoping for but ran up bull creek and caught around 20 for the weekend. The biggest was a 3lbr on a WP but sunday morn before checkout I caught just 4 all being dinks. Stayed around the mouth of bull creek..

Coming down saturday to try my hand at bass fishing taney...Staying at Duck Harbor thanks to a suggestion from the guys on here. I was told to try up bull creek for bass. I scouted around two weekends ago and saw alot of weedbeds out on main taney. Just wondering what is producing better right now. Thanks...PS im going to be pitching jigs and Whopper Ps and Frogs mostly

well what difference a day makes! Hit the lake at Indian point at 5 am and the lake was slick all the weekenders have went home I guess at least early. Had a Wopper popper bite early... Only on a 90 not on a 130 I guess they wanted a smaller bait. I fished up around the dam again... No bites on Ned rig swimming fluke or drop shots throwing to the banks.. I'm doing something wrong... But slick lake and bright skies didn't help none! Hope u had better luck than us today.. Had to leave the lake by 10 am due to a very dead battery that got me doing the three battery shuffle

got on the water by 5 AM whopper wopper slow I think due to the rain caught fish shallow in 2-5 feet of water about 15 foot of water Fish close to the dam area caught 13 fish three keepers one largemouth to smallmouth rest short fish mostly on tube jig. Fished until 11 AM not real good but didn't get skunked
