  1. You might check out native ultimate. They make a 12' and 14'. I did some research and bought a used 12' one a few years ago. I wish I would of bought a year newer for the high/low seating, but I can't complain for the cost difference. Fish's great, pretty stable and 49 lbs equipped. I think it would be easier to stand up in from the high seat position. https://nativewatercraft.com/product/ultimate-12/
  2. "Ain't that right" I always say "the squeaky wheel gets the grease."
  3. That one had me in tears.
  4. Like I said, I'm not a legal expert and it may be Ignored in the county court for recreational Ingress and egress, but is very much in affect in Federal Court when it comes to discharging pollution into the environment. https://www.epa.gov/wotus-rule/appendix-d-legal-definition-traditional-navigable-waters I agree. As a small land owner, I'm tired of the trash left behind, total disrespect of land and wildlife, theft and the liability incurred if a trespasser get injured. After 24+ years of ownership, I finally posted my land. I really enjoyed your painting that I saw online the other night. It would be really hard for me to pick a favorite. Anyways, you are a very talented artist and I think we need a thread/topic of your artwork.
  5. Imo the best fishing management for both meat eaters and trophy hunters is slotted regulations. There's a finite amount of resources for any given fishery. The old saying for an aquarium is 1 inch of fish per gallon of water. And it holds true. As the fish grows they start encroaching the other fish's territory and usually size takes rank. Not always though, sometimes i have seen schooling fish take down bigger fish. If you want to catch bigger fish, you have to remove smaller fish. I have been managed two ponds and an aquarium for better than 25 years. I did pretty good for the 1st 15 yrs on the ponds until the German Baptist moved in and started multiplying like rabbits. The wildlife in general has been disappearing. 1st the rabbits, then turkey, coyotes, the deer numbers are way down and very few if any big fish left in my pounds. The big fish use to control or eat smaller fish and you caught all sizes. Not anymore. I think they will heal themselves, but I don't know how long it will take. In the meantime I catch and eat lots of smaller bluegill and crappie.
  6. Thanks I'm not a legal expert and I don't know if it would hold up in court, but my understanding is that the EPA thru the Clean Water Act redefined "navigable water" to include almost every ditch and small streams in America. Federal Register on December 11, 1973 (see 38 FR 34165) and reads as follows: The term “navigable waters” of the United States means “navigable waters” as defined in section 502(7) of the FWPCA, and includes: (1) all navigable waters of the United States, as defined in judicial decisions prior to the passage of the 1972 Amendments of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, (FWPCA) (Pub. L. 92-500) also known as the Clean Water Act (CWA), and tributaries of such waters as; (2) interstate waters; (3) intrastate lakes, rivers, and streams which are utilized by interstate travelers for recreational or other purposes; and (4) intrastate lakes, rivers, and streams from which fish or shellfish are taken and sold in interstate commerce.
  7. Interesting, I always heard the term navigable water used in North Missouri. Then the argument was what's navigable water? Canoe and passenger or canoe and traps. Anyways... https://www.google.com/amp/s/ozarksfishin.wordpress.com/2011/03/14/are-you-trespassing-while-fishing-in-missouris-streams-creeks-and-rivers/amp/
  8. No kidding....
  9. I joined this forum because I thought this was for "angler's" and wasn't trying to get political. I'm new to the forum and processed this thread as spin to "speed things up." Yes I'm passionate about Mizzou and i try to be factual. Maybe I'm wrong, but with angler's I meet, sports doesn't come up. Fishing, fishing related topics, guns and hunting does. Occasionally political issue do pop up, but i don't care what side of the spectrum people are as long as it's factual and not some emotional talking points being spread by the elites. Anyways, I hope there's no hard feeling and i will try to stick to fishing issue unless something I'm knowledgeable about is being misrepresented.
  10. What a great tradition we have, "giving thanks for our abundance." Happy Thanksgiving y'all.
  11. I'm calling BS. I didn't think that was right http://munews.missouri.edu/news-releases/2015/0824-mu-reaches-record-enrollment-retention-rate-number-of-high-achieving-students-on-first-day-of-fall-semester/
  12. I respectfully disagree, since blm's protest, the enrollment of freshman has declined 35%, 400 jobs lost and seven dorms closed. I can only imagine how much alumni donations have declined. And anytime college student or anyone can't speak freely, well the institution suffers and it's a violation of the 1st amendment. So I for one supports the legislature's cuts and obviously the tax payers of Missouri must also. Once Mizzou Administration allows Free speech campus wide, I will be one of their biggest supporters. Fact is right now if I had a child, looking for higher education I would be trying to get them to look at another University that does.
  13. Think I need some of what u smoking. Things are better! Enrollment continues to decline, safe spaces, people in charge are doubling down and if you want freedom of speech well there is a small area off the beaten path for that. Sorry I'm a Mizzou Grad and my child a Mizzou Grad, but they screwed up and they're doubling down on stupidity. It's going to take along time before it gets better, imo.
