  14. I had the opportunity last week when my son had a few days off from grad school to take him and my wife to the White. The chocolate milk coming out of the buffalo didn't help my feelings when we got there, but the small mouth seemed to love it. we caught hundreds of trout and around 40 smallmouth, one of which my wife caught was 19 1/2 " Can't wait for the chance to go again.

  16. Thanks Ham and Johnsfolly for taking time to post those pics for me. There is a wide variety in coloration. This will really help.
  17. I have searched google trying to narrow down sculpins color in Taney and the white river. It looks like the banded and ozark sculpin are native to the area. I live 8 hours away and went to Taney the first time last year, it is a great place. I am not familiar with the creature. I assume it changes shades according to water color and it's bottom surroundings so it could be shades of green or brown. Wondering if anyone could give me some guidance or had any pictures of sculpin that were local. I painted these by a picture from the internet. Thanks
  18. I think you were launching at Buffalo Ciy when we were taking out one day last week. If that was you in the black boat, That's a nice rig. Congrats on hammering those hogs. Where did you catch the hybrid or striper that is in the picture?

  21. Had my first chance to really fish the white for the first time on a family trip. We were able to fish 4 mornings this week. Caught 4 browns: 2-16", a 25" and a 28". We had a blast catching over 300 rainbows on the 4 outings. Most were caught on jigs and the last morning found us nymphing for a change. The white is a heck of a fishery. Thanks to Ham for his input and advice prior to our trip. This post has been promoted to an article
