  1. Sounds like a good outing to me. Any day fishing at Truman, or anywhere else for that matter, is better than working or honeydo's
  2. Interesting. This sounds like something I would read published by MDC. Do you work for a conservation department somewhere?? At any rate, if it will support spawning of brown trout it would apparently support spawning of rainbow. Of the two I would rather see them stock bows.
  3. Maybe Terry's Giant Squid et them Or maybe Terrys Giant Squid being a smart Squid kidnaps them and holds them until fall when he knows all the fishermen will be at the dam. Then he turns them loose to bait his trap??
  4. I had to go get a beer before I finished reading that. I figured if I read to fast you wouldn't be done typing before I got it read. I gotta kno tho have you been peeking in my garage???? :D
  5. Awwww, c'mon flysmallie. I was gonna get a bluegill fishing trip out of KFF before I gave him that web address.
  6. I dunno. If I did have I couldnt take nothing less than a bluegill for them.
  7. You should be able to find some shad with your throw net but if you dont go to the station and buy some of the biggest shiners they got and use them. Works for me when I cant get shad.
  8. brownieman: Nah. I didn't make it up. Just added to it a but.
  9. This is a nice tent. They say if a person is careful you can make your own for about $500
  10. It would be nice to get people to boycott. Problem is if they won't boycott the price of gas for even one day there is no chance of getting them to boycott unsafe food, meds and other products. Sad
  11. That is another good one. Been some nice fish caught off your dock lately.
  12. Thats a dandy for sure.
  13. I figured sure there was going to be a fish fry. Shoot!
  14. So far all of my Mandos have had Flame Maple back, sides and necks, Ebony Fingerboards and Peg overlay, Mother of Pearl inlay and Adirondack Spruce tops. I tune the top and back plates, then tune the tone bars then and finally tune the instrument as a coupled unit. This is all wood tuning and has nothing to do with tuning the strings. I bet that is an interesting instrument. I have about 350 hours in a mando I have also built fiddles, guitars and dulcimers.
  15. You mean that fish in my avatar isn't a trophy???
  16. Lucky you. I sure wish I was going. :D Seriously, hope you have a good time and good luck.
  17. Taters, carrots and beets count????
  18. No problem. Just need a down payment. I played Bills Mando twice while he was still alive. A exciting and fearful all at the same time kind of experience. I can't imagine the pressure the guy who repaired it for Bill was under when it was so badly damaged by those vandals. YIKES!! His mando was certainly light. I never stressed the top but being a builder I did look it over and it was light. The edges looked like they were maybe .08 or .09 thick. It is in a museum but I wonder what that old mando of his is worth nowadays.
  19. C'mon. Donchaguys know a banana seat when you see it.
  20. I guess the question is, who's kids was it built for? May be the right kids. Wait a minute!!!! Kids are immature goats. Your right those aren't kids. :P
  21. I agree with JC. You got em hooked now all you gotta do is ease them into the net. Should not be a problem for an experienced angler such as yourself. Seriously, good luck.
  22. Ohhh, ok. I was gonna say the girl being Rhonda Vincent it would take a REALLY BIG diamond to get her away from her husband.
  23. Shoot, ya'll are talking about that kind of vice. I was getting all excited for nothing. I thought you were talking about the traditional vices like smoking, drinking, fast cars and chasing women.
  24. The mandolin or the girl?????
