Looks to me like they are trying to improve their fishery for food. I don't think there is any way to deny that if the fish are less molested, especially during the spawn and fall run, there are going to be more and bigger fish. By having a catch and keep only law they can calculate the annual fishery loss, there is no way to calculate the loss if there are millions of people practicing catch and release. I agree that catch and release fishermen don't kill many fish they actually catch, I think the question is how to calculate the loss caused by C&R during the spawn and the fall when DOs are low. Anyway just a thought.

Is your check engine light operational? First thing I would do is a complete tune up, rotor, cap, plugs, wires ie the works. At 100, 000 miles it is probably due. Second thing I would do is swing by Orileys and have them test the ECM, not to see if it is throwing codes but to make sure the ECM it self is good. Finally I would put in all new O2 sensors and MAF. O2 sensors can get 'lazy' which won't kick on the CEL but can cause the car to run bad and reduce economy. Good rule of thumb is to change O2 sensors ever 100,000 miles wether they need it or not. MAF is easy to check...just unplug it and drive the truck, bring it up to 70 mph if you don't notice a big loss in power the MAF is bad.

Sounds like a longear to me. Another possibility a redear. Pic would be helpful.

I say they need to start netting them along with asian carp and squeeze all the oil they can out of them. Use the oil to help alleviate the oil crunch and use the left overs for fertilizer, farmed fish food and cat food. JMHO

I wont be visiting Taney or Warsaw or Pony Express much if at all this year. Gas, med and food costs are eating up all of my extra money so I am going to have to stay close to home.

For my part NO it is not and should not be be allowed to compete for record status with 'natural' fish. There should be a separate book for genetically altered species. It is kinda like a man having a sex change then competing in women's sports. It just ain't right. JMHO

Wish we could go back to the good ol days when a movie was just a movie and meant to entertain. I know there have always been political movies but they were usually easy to spot. Today it seems most movies some secret or hidden political/religious agenda imbedded in them. I think I will go fishing.

I have always hated the tournaments during the spawning season. To disruptive and way to many floaters after a tourney. As to the one female repopulating a section of the lake, I think they are off mark on that. I think under favorable circumstance one female can indeed restock an entire section if enough of her eggs hatch and enough of the fry reach sufficient size. The problem is there are so many predators after the eggs and fry that I doubt enough of the eggs/fry reach maturity to do so. JMHO

When did dogs become game! I must have missed that somewhere. I don't quiet see how dealing with problem dogs leads to a discussion of breaking game laws or any other law for that matter. At any rate you don't have to worry about me I am not out to specifically break laws or hurt anyone, or to take more than my fair/legal share but I will defend my person, family and property and I will continually and vigorously defend my right to do so. Aside from that the intent of game laws was to protect game from over harvest; not to make it illegal to defend person or property against destructive or dangerous animals.

I consider myself a law abiding citizen but in this matter the legality does not enter my mind. If a dog is on my property and not causing problems there is no issue but, if it is causing problems once in my rifle sites it will become an endangered species. Simple as that. If the law wants to arrest me, fine me or if someone wants to bring suit against me they better have a lot of time and a better lawyer than I do because I will defend my right to defend my property and person until the end.

2/3 of the park is artificial only while 1/3 is bait fishing only ..... Maybe the whole park should be opened to whatever type of fishing a person wants to do. I didn't think about these types of things before I became handicapped. I am not able to fly fish or do a lot of cast and retrieve fishing anymore. I also cannot wade fish. I have tried to fish jigs under bobbers in zone 1 and zone 2 but fly fishermen constantly wade in front of me. The only area for me to fish is zone 3. I want to have a place where I can fish so I really don't want to see zone 3 opened to fly fishermen and have the same problems in zone 3 I have had in zones 1 & 2. Personally I would like to see zone 3 closed to wade fishing all together. Or perhaps the argument is handicapped/older people shouldn't have a place they can sit and fish without being interfered with.

I wonder if they guy actually got ticketed for discharging a firearm in city limits and if he does I wonder if the law actually says you cannot discharge a firearm within the city limits even in defense of your self, home or property or if it is a law intended to curtail indiscriminate discharging of firearms within the city limits.

I thought there were already boats with more HP than that on LOZ. From some of the breakers I have had to run from on lakes like Taney and Fellows, I thought boats with more HP were common.

I certainly have to agree that the big three are, without a doubt, liberal biased and it is going to get worse. I read in the news today that CBS has plans to start sourcing its news from CNN. Nobody, who is honest, can deny that CNN gives everything a liberal slant. It has been my observation that most small papers are either biased towards one side or the other same goes for local radio stations. The article in discussion is without a doubt liberal biased otherwise it would have slanted the article towards the homeowner being in the right and would be raising a real stink about the possibility that the man might be ticketed for defending himself and protecting his property. As they are not they are taking a liberal stance. For my part the man had every right to defend his property period. He was and is completely within his rights both in federal law and state law. He should not be persecuted, prosecuted or bothered about it in any manner. As to the guy who didn't control his pets ..... tough luck. To the authorities that might want to ticket the man I have this to say, look at a chicken dropping and you will notice a little white spec on top of the dropping. This little white speck looks different and is a different color but when you get right down to it it is still a chicken dropping which is exactly what they are for wanting to ticket the man.

Looks like 25 to 30 lbs to me. You gotta be careful grabbing 'bills by the jaw like that as it is really easy to do serious if not fatal damage.
