  1. Russ: Have you looked at the SunLite trailers. They are kind of a combo hardside/popup. I had one until recently; they are really nice. Not as heavy as traditional hardsieds, easier to pull, easy to manauver. I had mine for 14 years and never had a leak. Click Here
  2. Great arguments guys. You three (3wt, Phil, Wayne) are certainly more articulate than I am. I agree with you 3wt the american public gets the wool pulled over their eyes all the time and never figure it out. THis issue isnt any different. They are saying cloning is banned but that is exactly what they will be doing. I still wonder where all the eggs they have in storage supposedly for IVF came from. Did they take extras from the women who were having the procedure? If they took more than they needed because there might be some that didnt work then did not offer to return them to the woman, isnt that theft? If the value of the eggs is high enough isn't that felony theft? If this is the case who will actually own the rights to any resulting treatments or drugs? And finally isnt this simply exploitation of women?
  3. Kansas Fly Fisher: I will be coming from Springfield, MO.
  4. Some other good questions are: How long would only the eggs for IVF be of sufficent quantity for researchers? How were the eggs for IVF sourced? If there is some cure or new drug created who would actually own the patent, the woman who donated or the researchers? Where and how would they source more blastocysts to meet future research needs? If the ammendment were to pass into law how would their new sources of blastocysts be regulated? If the supply of blastocysts they have are of sufficent quantity to produce all the stem cells ever needed for research wouldn't they in fact be cloning?
  5. Where are you guys meeting up? I am going to try and come over. Where is the lake located?
  6. I have an idea. Why doesnt everyone PM me their favorite Redear hot spots. Barring that how about posting some generic spots on here?
  7. I agree. They are trying to take the backdoor by running this as an ammendment. If it was legitimate they would not need an ammendment.
  8. Just a thought. Tysons has facilities for chicken egg production Do you reckon it would be a good move for them to get into human egg production. I mean whats the difference chicken eggs or human eggs. I suppose one is worth more than the other but other than that its all the same thing. I wonder how women would like their value being set only by the number of eggs they can produce. Once egg production fell off.......... I know what happens to chickes that stop producing eggs I wonder what would be done with women who stop producing. Seriously the proponents of this issue are right. Women throw away their useful product every month or at least every month they arent pregnant and before menopause. I am just curious what kind of equipment is needed to collect the egg and how long women would have to wear it every month. Or would the egg just be forcefully sucked out of them. And I really wonder how they are going to get women to stand still for these procedures on any kind of a regular basis. I can hear their campaign now come in every month and we will pay you the huge sum of $20 to let us farm your eggs. But remember we will only pay you if your egg has been fertilized. Otherwise you just had this procedure at your expense. Then there will come the whole issue of clone rights. As they are not naturally occuring do they have any rights? How about ownership or patent or copyright of the clone? Perhaps if this passes they can just clone theirselves up a few women which they own for no purpose other than to collect their eggs. I think people should stop thinking about the possible end result of this issue and the how it will be done part and what the more far reaching ramifications are. I dont believe this is an issue that should just be rammed through and then deal with the fallout later.
  9. Over the years I have caught several 'crackers on TR. I can show you a couple of areas I have caught them from time to time. There is not a huge population of them. I would like to see the MDC stock some in there. Heck if there was a good place to fish for 'crackers I might even give up fishing for trout.
  10. Its a Redear and a great fish too. I am always looking for Redear but only get into them occasionally. Biggest one I caught was in the Viola area on Table Rock. PS: If your buddy ever wants to tell where his hot spots are I am listening.
  11. I am not too hung up on namebrands. When I want a tough hook for big fish I use stainless steel.
  12. With that kind of judgement it seems to me the MO Supreme court showed extremely poor judgment. We should probably get some new judges or start a manditory drug testing and rehab program for supreme court judges, or something.
  13. They are easy to get and free. Why should anyone be put out. A person has to show a lot more ID just to go to the Dr. Not having ID just encourages illegals to vote.
  14. ROFL Funny story Grif. A few years back I took my daughter fishing. Her brother and I were catching a few fish (Bluegill and small Bass) and she wasn,t. She was starting to get bummed out about it. So I got to goofing around and trying to keep her entertained. I told her if she wanted to catch a lot of fish she had to start kissing them before throwing them back. So whenever her brother and I caught a fish I would act like we gave it a kiss before throwing it back. In a while she caught the biggest fish of the day, about a 3 lb channel. Right before throwing it back she gave it a kiss......... She started hollering GROSS and spit and sputtered around for 30 minutes. ROFL

  16. Just wondering what ever, if anything yet, happened with this issue. Anybody heard?
  17. Very well stated Charley. Like you I like catching slab sized gills or better yet RedEar. As to the C&R thing; I respect most C&R anglers. In general I release many more fish than I keep. What irrates me is the C&R fishermen who belittle anyone who keeps a fish. I have seen C&R fishermen throw back fish that were obviously going to die then puff up like a banty rooster and crow to the world about how enviromentally consious and ethical they are and how someone who kept a fish is murdering a potential trophy. To me people with this kind of attitude are the worst kind of hyprocrits. If someone catches a legal fish that is obviously going to die the only ethical thing to do is add it to his/her creel then when they have limited out, quit fishing. If they don't want to eat their catch they should give it to someone who will or someone needy. By chosing to throw back fish that are going to die they have not only chose to kill them they have wasted them just as surely as if they had thrown them in a dumpster to rot. At least the people who keep them are going to use them. But then this is just my opinion.
  18. It was probably kind of alive when he released it. If the fish chose to die later that isnt his fault. As long as the fish is still alive when he put it back in the water he maintains his C&R status and his consious is clear.
  19. Me too 'cheetz. After all you are in the entertainment business arent you? I have never heard any of your music but you sure do a good job of entertaining on here.
  20. Aren't you guys afraid of the wild animals out there at night. You know like maurading armadillos and such??????
  21. This drought sure is hard on some of the streams and lakes. I hope we get some signifigant rain soon.
  22. Cheetz you are a Hoot. ROFL Tightline maybe we should get together sometime and play banjos.
  23. I still say it is all about bucks.
  24. Nah because when I caught my limit I would be done, pick up and go home. You on the other hand would catch and relase how many in a day. Through shear numbers of fish caught, stressed and handled you would kill more than me.
  25. You musta done some really big honey do's. THere arent many wives that will buy their husbands fishing or hunting equipment.
