Drop shot or carolina rigs on gravel points. Depth was 20 feet end of August. We used red wigglers and caught bluegill, walleye and catfish. Caught bass as well but that was not our target.

We stayed at Bucksaw and fished nearby in the spring. We hammered the crappie although I am sure the bite has changed. There is a LOT of timber in that area. If you have a good GPS and lake map on it, you should not have a problem. If you don't, buy a paper map and go slow. Bucksaw has nice enough rooms and a diner on the dock. Bait, ice and slips as well. You would not have to leave the resort but you will need a car to drive from the lodge or cabins to the ramp.

Any suggestions on a pan fishing trip in mid/late August. We'll be staying in Little Aunt's Creek and don't mind running a bit - 10-miles or so. I'm an experienced fisherman but not a big bass fisherman. Looking for Bluegils and Crappie or anything else fun to catch - Walleye, catfish, ...
