  1. Linc, what was he using?
  2. Phil, what time of year is it the worst DO.
  3. Nice fish Vince....even nicer that he is still swimming.
  4. Phil, neat pics of everything. I have always wanted to go on a trip like that. I will be interested in the cost. I couldn't get two weeks off in a row but one would be great. A friend went to the Kenai last year and caught huge rainbows. His trip also included salmon and halibut. He brought home a ton of fish and gave me about 20 pounds of it. It was pretty reasonable as far as cost.
  5. Dem's some good eatin lil buggers. About as good as trout if fixed right.
  6. Larger rapalas and jerk baits. fish for them just like bass but at night or in low light. I have done good on shallow running crankbait too.
  7. Phil, I sent one last week and sent you a copy of it. Come on guys get those fingers typing.
  8. I think MDC should make the herons follow the same rules we do. No fish in the slot in the trophy area and daily limit of 4. No browns under 20 inches and when they have a limit they have to quit.
  9. I hope the morons are using the gas in a boat. I sure would not put it in my truck with the oil in it. I guess next time I stay at Lilley's we'll have to take all our stuff to the room each night. That is sad to hear because in 33 years of fishing Taney have never had even one problem.
  10. Was in the same area for a week earlier this month and we did not know the patterns there for any type of fish. Just fished blind everyday and did not do well. I wish I would have had a guide the first day after getting skunked for a week.
  11. I usually don't but I don't think the city fathers or the religious right are going to let that happen in Branson. The family money is good for the area and they don't want the big casino's to get it all. I work to hard to spend my money gambling but if'n you want to blow money have at it.
  12. We use hot dogs that have been soaked in licorice ,anise, oil. It worked great on blue cat last sunday. The ones we were using soaked for weeks but a couple days should do.
  13. I agree with Dano. I bought some Orvis three years ago and they are great. I have used them in almost every month of the year. Longjohns and sweats in the winter and shorts in the summer. They are a lot easier to walk around in too.
  14. Geez, that brownie looks like a football.
  15. I agree with griffin. You do have to haul your rear end out of there though or that will happen to you everytime. It is even worse on the white below Bull Shoals.
  16. What do you do with all the fish you catch?
  17. Sorry to hear about Jim's mom. Put some pics up of the dock construction. When we were down this spring it had not started yet. Will your ramp be closed permanently now?
  18. Phil, I guess the trout and lake cams are both off. Tried to view and nothing. Any idea when they will be back on?
  19. Phil, I have stayed at your place for many years and we will leave our stuff on the boat when we go up for lunch and have not had a problem. A few time we left it over night but would think twice about it now. Anywhere else I take my stuff out of the boat every night. the crooks must know it because we have had boats next to us hit and they didn't even come in ours. I usually leave a beer in the rod box and it is always there in the morning. I guess if the crook didn't like beer he would leave it.
  20. Hope they hang his you know what.
  21. We stay on Taney and Bull Shoals and have not had any problems at Lilley's. Last year a couple of boats at Fall Creek got cleaned out of thousands worth of gear. As a precaution I take all my gear out of the boat and my electronics. I do leave some things like nets, bait jars and junk that is not expensive. I never lock my rod lockers because I don't want to fix them after they bust the locks in ten seconds. I pity to poor guy I ever see taking something off of my boat.
  22. Dano, under the weather is the excuse for work....when it comes to fishing I think you'll get better when the line gets wetter.
  23. Awesome pictures. I have fished Boca and boated a 150 and 100 pound tarpon. Keep up the quest. Greatest fish fight you'll ever have.
