  1. I don't think that is enough boat for Truman especially if you get into the bigger water.
  2. Phil, great video. Sure wish I was there.
  3. I have a bunch of the "old" wiggle warts even though some are still in the box. Biggest fish I ever caught on a wart was a 25lb bluecat trolling a wiggle wart in front of Truman dam. Then hit a 4lb walleye to boot.
  4. Great report and video Phil. I sure hope I can get down one more time this year.
  5. Next time go in the summer and stay at Black River Lodge near Lesterville. Great river access and includes all meals. Good place for families.
  6. The A rig is great for trolling for whites on the Rock. Two dummies and three hooks on 1/2 oz jig heads with soft plastic grubs. Problem is when you get three on at once.
  7. Phil, another great one for you. More important is the great care you take in the release so they can live to fight another day.
  8. I have fished the Frying Pan numerous times and have never found it to be overly crowded. It is almost deserted during the week with more traffic on weekends but we have always found fishable areas that were open. i know about the private water areas and that sucks. There is only one guide there who has permission to fish that area. Its a shame they can do that. The Roaring Fork is also a good river to fish when the water is down. I have stayed in a cabin on in many times.
  9. That fish sure is marked the same as the one above. Has to be the same one.
  10. how's the fishing on the black below clearwater?
  11. Wow, that will be some tough conditions. Really warm water. When they fish in the middle for crappie what kind of baits do they use?
  12. Do any of you fish Clearwater on the Black? I'll be fishing it next week and any ideas would be helpful.
  13. Feathers, everyone in the world knows about the pass. Its on tv all the time. I have fished it quite a few times and its always a blast but very crowded. Didn't know they could live in that cold of water. thanks for the info.
  14. Tarpon are a blast to catch. I have fished for them in the Boca Grand Pass in Florida. To date a 90 and 150 are my best. Don't think they can live in cold water or fresh.
  15. Just tell them you are laid off of work and your unemployment is just about gone. No money for gas to get there and back.
  16. When you get into the whites and hybrids on Truman boats will come in and crowd you. If they don't crowd me I will invite them to fish the area especially if I have hammered them. I had two guys come up one time and actually ask if they couldl fish the area I was in which was loaded with whites. I had no problem with that.
  17. Gator where are you staying? We will be at Lilley's wednesday to sunday. Can't wait to get there.
  18. Bill, keep teasing em for us for next week. Hope the are starving by the time we get there.
  19. Phil great report. Keep them biting like that until we get there next week.
  20. I troll at Truman all the time for walleye, stripers, whites and crappie. Last year trolling for stripers I caught a 25 lb blue cat on a wiggle wart. Also picked up some nice walleye.
  21. With the banning of felt soles in Mo streams I am looking for some new wading shoes. I have Orvis wader with the neoprene booties and would like to pair them with some new canvas lug sole wading shoes. Does anyone, I'm sure you do, have any opinions on different brands of wading shoes.
  22. Thanks ducky.
  23. the wierd website that my bookmark for OAF took me to earlier this morning? Could not get on here at all.
  24. Get 'em biting Phil, we'll be down in a couple weeks.
