I had something similar happen at a place I stayed in once—looked great online, but in person, not so much. Since then, I’ve stuck with places that are known for solid basics and don’t rely too much on photos. Had a great experience recently with a 4 star accommodation Perth spot—clean, quiet, and everything worked like it was supposed to. Made all the difference after a long drive.

Sounds like some folks have had some wild experiences! Okay, let's talk Hyde Beach menu. Honestly, I've never been, but it sounds like a cool spot! Can't beat good food and vibes, right? As for my take on company Christmas party rules, I'm all for keeping it chill and fun. Like, c'mon, we work hard all year, so when it's time to let loose, let's do it right! But yeah, I get it, gotta keep things somewhat in check to avoid any major disasters. But hey, I'm all about finding that balance between having a blast and not ending up with a story you regret telling on Monday morning!
